Intimate dining experience at GF - any recent visits?

so I found this online and as I'm still stuck on the wait list for V&A's, I thought this would be a good plan B. Sadly I based it on all the past experiences I've read and I just got the menu and policy for 2015 and i can't help but feel a little disappointed. Prices have gone up but they've dropped the courses down to 4 and now charge for soft drinks. The menu doesn't look all that great. It also reads that u order at dinner and not ahead of time. To me this makes it no better than doing that in a restaurant so I'm having trouble feeling like this is special. I invisioned preordering for mom and letting the courses just appear before her.

I'm just not sure about this experience anymore. Anyone been recently since this change that can share their experience?

What is the "this" of which you speak. I have no idea what menu and policy you are referring to.

Whose prices have gone up? Who dropped their courses down to four? Who now charges for soft drinks when they used to not do that? Who used to take orders beforehand but now requires diners to order at the restaurant?

We had it scheduled last year. We were informed that the kitchen preparing the food was changed and they didn't know what the new menu would be. Two weeks prior to our dinner we got a phone call that our date had been canceled so something was going on.

the new menu is the menu from Citricos. Since the weather looks sketchy and will most likely end us up inside on the 5th floor, guess I will have to pass. the huge price diff ordering from a menu there versus ordering the same items in the restaurant just aren't worth it to me. i was looking for a more personalized catering experience as they've done in the past.
