Intimate Brides with Jennifer O'Leary, Did you get this Email?

Did you get an email today that she is moving over to Wishes Weddings and your coordinator has changed? Mine is now Kathleen Reynolds. The email says that she used to work for dftw and is familiar with the process. Personally, I'm glad that I haven't gone into very much detail with Jennifer at this point, I would hate to have to start all over again.

YES! I just posted on the other thread about her. I actually have talked to her on the phone and went over a lot of things. I don't mind having to repeat everything to a new person BUT I will be a bit unhappy if the new coordinator says "no" to everything Jennifer says "yes" to.

Plus, aren't you supposed to get two 30 minute phone consultations? I've already used one! (Though we really only talked for about 20 minutes or so.) Now I kind of wish I hand't because my wedding isn't until December and now I'll only get to talk to this new person once and that's it? .

This sounds very familiar....

I had Jennifer as my 1st coordinator too - started out with her in December 2005. She then moved over to the cruise weddings half way through the planning process. She seems to bounce around quite a bit.

In the end, I had 4 different planners.... I may have had too many questions...

Good luck with your new planner! I finally ended up with Karen Serrette before the wedding, and she was great...

I spoke with Jennifer this morning & she advised me that she had been promoted to a Wishes Wedding Planner. She told me that she would be getting an email out to all of her current Intimate/Escape brides to advise as soon as she could but it would take her a while to reach all of them becuase she had over a hundred. She also told me that Kathleen Reynolds did used to work for DFTW. She didn't say this but I got the impression that she had been out on maternity leave or something similar. She also told me that she would be going over each of our files in detail with Kathleen. I have only actually spoken with Jennifer twice. Once when she called me to advise me that she would be my planner & this morning when we were discussing an issue I was having with the cake. The initial conversation was very short. And, the one we had this morning was less that 10 minutes so I don't think that either one would count towards my consultation. But, that also means that all correspondence have been via email which mean that I have everything in writing. But, even if I didn't, I don't think I would have to worry. I know alot of people have had some not so great experiences with DFTW but, so far mine has been great. And, I can't imagine that DFTW wouldn't honor something once a planner had agreed to it.

me too! I'm glad Jennifer got promoted, but just feel like we all get pushed from one planner to another so we don't get the chance to build up a relationship with anyone. I hope I don't get pushed off to any one else before Dec - but on the bright side, I'm certainly not getting a gift for my planner as I won't know which one to give it to

I've not had either of my two planning sessions. I think I would rather wait until I am just a little bit closer before I do that. I was thinking of one right before I sent in the planning kit, and one a little while before we come down for the wedding to make sure that everything is in place. Are the planning sessions during regular business hours? I will have to plan a lunch at work around them.

Yep! I got the same email yesterday. My new planner is Kathleen Reynolds as well. I was just assigned to Jennifer last week, so I'm not too concerned with being switched off to someone else. It just means that I have to change my contact info in my spiffy new iPhone (an amazing "just because" gift from my amazing DF ).

I've spoken with Jennifer and I'm not going to worry about it! We've gone into a lot of detail about my wedding and I know that she'll go over everything with Kathleen. I will miss her greatly, but I know she wouldn't leave any of us hanging!!! If you have any serious concerns, I think we have her for another week or so!!

I missed my inital phone call from Jennifer. I called her back Monday afternoon and got the email yesterday. I don't really mind because I never talked to her and I am sure that Kathleen would probably send out the same planning kit. My only concern is that I hope that I stay with the same coordinator throughout the next 10.5 months. Cast members at Disney definitely do not stay in one place for very long...

Being the grammatical checker that I am occasionally, Jennifer's email looked sloppy and needed to be looked over before she sent it out. Typos! That's just my opinion towards professionals.

she called me yesterday to confirm my payment had gone thru' and said that she'd noticed that she was being mentioned on here!!!
