Great news I FINALLY Booked my Disney wedding ! I thougth some of you would like to know the 2006 price for the wedding pavillion has of course gone up. It is now $3,350. But there is some good news !They have upgraded the picture package you get incl. with your wedding. You get to choose which 20 photos you want in your album (previously 12) and I am pretty sure the photography equipment also got upgraded.

Have a great night !!!:earboy2:

hi

Hi Eve ! :wave2:

Yes it is my understanding that it is included in all of the packages for 2006. I was really happy to find this out b/c with upgrading the eqipment ,the ability to choose your 20 free photos, and the option buying proofs I will definitely be using disney photographic services. I have seen some brides pictures that used them and I was impressed ! I think this makes up some for the cost going up.

Hi

Did your EM say you'll be given prints of all photos taken during ceremony ?
Also they still charge $225 plux tax for getting a CD of all proofs?

Thx
TC

Hey TC :wave2:

My EM Jennifer said that you get 20 pics in the album that you get to choose instead of the previous 12 chosen by Disney Photographic Services. You still have to pay the $225. for the proofs but they are regular photos (non stamped) and a low resolution cd of the pictures.

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals. I was just at WDW last week and saw two weddings in progress. Both were at the Boardwalk and one even had the coach. Unfortunately, we were on the boat heading to Epcot at the time. I would have loved to see that coach up close. Keep us posted on the details. I look forward to seeing the Wedding photos. Best Wishes - Judy

Hmm, this is good to know! I've heard in the past that international couples were given the cds free of charge, but does anyone know if that is still the case? Also, do you know if Disney considers Canada as international, b/c I know some companies do not (when it comes to shipping, etc). I'll probably e-mail my EM, but just double checking!

bride2bee

thanks for that information and good luck with planning your wedding :bride:

Hi again

Re: a low resolution cd of the pictures.
Ummm.... Do i pay needmore , on top of $225 , in order to obtain high (rather than low)resolution CD of pictures ?

Thx

Hey TC

I am not entirely sure but I did read in a planning packet that was emailed to me that you have to pay $1000. :earseek: to get the high. It also said if wait 3 yrs to the date you could get it for market value ( it said that it was currently $99.) Hope I helped some !

Hi Bride2Bee

Umm....... that $1000 ($99 three years later) applied to MK castle photo shoot only, at least that's what i thought.

Anyways thanks for your info.
TC

Bride2bee is correct.

When Disney photographic services does the photography for your Disney wedding, they will give you a LOW RES CD. You can print probably 4x6 prints from it, and that's about it.

If you want a HIGH RES CD it will cost about $1000 (could change, as they reserve the right to change prices without notice). If you wait three years, you can purchase the HIGH RES CD for about $99 (again, could change).

For UK brides, you automatically get the HIGH RES CD because of shipping charges for prints (it would cost too much).

As for whether or not Canada is considered "international"...I doubt it. But definitely ask your EM to be sure.

For the proofs, they were $225, however, you may want to confirm that price hasn't changed by asking your EM.

Hi,

Does the intimate photography package comes with the low res CD? What's the difference between proofs and the CD? I thought the proofs are just regular prints of 4x6.

Thanks,
Mabel

Hi Mabel!

Yes, the intimate photography package comes with the low res CD.

There really is no difference in the proofs/CD. I haven't tried printing any of the images from my CD yet, so I'm not sure how they will come out...the proofs are definitely 4x6.

Personally, I just wanted one copy of all the prints. And in order to get that, I had to pay for the proofs in advance (at least, that was the most inexpensive option).

Hope that helps!

If you pay to get your proofs confirm IN WRITING that you are getting a copy of each and every picture they take...including the ones that end up in your folio (or now apparently album). I had a heck of a time getting mine. Took 2 months and many calls but I got them.

Thanks hiwaygal!

If the proofs and CD are basically the same, wouldn't it be cheaper to print it from the CD instead of paying extra for the proofs?

Probably...but I guess that depends on where you take the CD to have it printed.

I wanted one set done professionally, then I have the CD for others if I want to have them done as well, that was just my preference.

Also, LIGrumpyGirl gave some excellent advice...you need to understand that when you purchase your proofs, this does not include the ones in your folio/album. If this matters to you, make sure to let your EM know this. And, be aware that the photos they put in the folio/album are in there PERMANENTLY! You cannot take them out to scan or whatever.

Ok, I e-mailed my EM about the changes to the photo package (from 12 to 20) and she said that there have not been any changes. It is still the 12 photos that the photographer picks. I am having an intimate at the Yacht Club. My EM didn't say this, but is it possible that the upgrade is for Pavillion Intimates only?

Hi all,

Just wanted to add some more info on 2006. I just got off the phone with Disney regarding a wedding for May, 2006.

For the intimate wedding we're doing at Sunset Pointe, the package no longer included the 4 night stay room (but still required), park tickets, or officient. The package price was $2,450.

I spoke to Karen, who said our selected date, May 26, 2006, would be held and that I just need to book our room/ticket vacation pacakage on our own, then call her back with the reservation to proceed.

I'm also very interested in the photo options so next I speak to her, hopefully in a week or so, I'll be sure to check into it.

I have some questions for those who've been through the intimate wedding, but I'll save that for a new thread.

Shaun
