Interview the person below you (Part II)

It's kind of weird but I think my favorite is Adventureland. Besides being a huge Pirates fan, there's just something about the feel of that Land for me. And my DSs absolutely love the spitting camel and the tikis. I can't even tell you how much time we've spent standing in front of those!

What are your favorite and least favorite countries in WS and why?

Favorite is Japan..................love the store, the displays and watching the acts, especially Myuki
Least favorite is Italy.............we just seem to walk right by, nothing draws us there

What would you like to see added to DHS to give it more to keep you entertained.......it can be several things (it needs it ;) )?

I'd like to see some things to make it more of a "studio" again, like it used to be. Maybe an attraction where you can act out a scene and have it incorporated into your favorite movie. I'd take out Lights Motors Action and most of the Backlot Tour, except Calamity (or is it Catastrophe, I always forget) Canyon, and bring in a Pixar Land.....some of Cars Land, some sort of Up attraction where you go up in Carl's house, something with Wall-E (because I just love him), etc. All the Pixar characters would be available to meet. I'd have Pixar Place start where it does now and extend all the way through Backlot. I'd keep Calamity (or Catastrophe) Canyon and add a few more things of that nature, theming it as a movie stunt ride-through that would put us into (maybe) classic movie scenes. I'd revamp Indiana Jones, maybe giving it two or three different shows so that it's not the same old one all the time (which I still like but would like to see something new). And I'd put in at least two GOOD restaurants, not expensive necessarily, just good. Remy would have his own restaurant, of course, in Pixar Place.

Someone on the boards recently was ready to jump off the ledge over not being able to smell the smoke in the Rome scene of Spaceship Earth. Is there a small detail similar to that, that if missing, would almost ruin that attraction for you?

Absolutely not, I would be somewhat disappointed but it would not ruin my vacation whatsoever. However, to answer your question, the smell I would miss most on an attraction would be the smell of orange groves in Soarin, that is my most favorite part of the movie, but like I said, it would not ruin my vacation by any means and I will ride it again.

What is your favorite attraction/show that is no longer around?

I totally agree with your last answer! I wait for the orange smell from the time I sit down in the glider! But, like you, I would miss it if it wasn't there, but it wouldn't totally ruin it.

My favorite attraction that's no longer there is Alien Encounter. I loved that attraction......and I detest the Stitch fiasco that replaced it. Bring back AE or change the seats/restraints so that you can take your child in there without fear of them having a panic attack you can't help them with!

Which vacation would you choose.......4 days at WDW, with all 4 days spent at the parks OR 10 days at WDW, but you could only go to 1 park for 1 day with the rest of the time spent at the resort?

Which vacation would you choose.......4 days at WDW, with all 4 days spent at the parks OR 10 days at WDW, but you could only go to 1 park for 1 day with the rest of the time spent at the resort?

I would totally choose the 10 days with just one day spent at one park. I would go to MK for the one day just to get my park fix and I would spend the rest of the 10 days exploring the resort. I never spend much time at whichever resort I stay at so it would be nice to spend time seeing everything it had to offer, take nice naps, spend long days in the pool, etc. :goodvibes

Speaking of spending time at the resorts - Have you ever taken a day to just explore the different resorts on site?

Yes - on our day of arrival in December we hit GF, WL, CR & Poly to check out the Christmas decor, relax & have snacks. It was a great couple of hours!!!

Has the next poster ever done all 4 parks in one day?

/
The most I've ever done is two parks in a day. Trying to do all four would make my brain explode!

What's your favorite Christmas extra at WDW?

My favorite Christmas extra is the Christmas lights. I love Christmas lights.

With only 9 days, do you choose a water park or skip it?

We're not water park people, so we don't do them. However, I think 9 days would be long enough to fit in a day (or half day) at a water park if you wanted too.

Same line of thinking... do you ever talk a day away from Disney to go do some other area attractions, or do you just stick solely do Disney?

So far, we're strictly Disney. I think that when my DSs are a bit bigger, we'll likely check out Universal (if for nothing else than Harry Potter), but I'm quite sure I'll feel like I'm cheating on the Mouse!

Is there another vacation destination that you enjoy as much (or *shudder* more) than WDW?

Nope, not so far anyway! Hard to imagine! :rotfl:

Big family reunion at Disney, or saved more for your immediate family?

Our first four trips to WDW with our DSs, we took family....first DH's brother, then my brother, then my parents, then his. Last trip was just us, but we almost felt like we were being selfish in not letting someone else enjoy the fun with the kids! Next time, we're going with my brother, his wife, and my nephew. It'll be my nephew's first time (he'll be almost 3) and I can't wait!!

What's your arrival day routine?

Check in, walk around and discover the grounds of the resort, hit up the pool/pool bar, then off to Downtown Disney! First stop? The margarita stand ofcourse! :rotfl:

If money was no object, what would your Disney trip be like?

You know, I'm pretty happy with our vacations now, but I guess if I could spend whatever money I wanted, we'd probably stay in the best possible room at Poly since we've never stayed there before. I'd pay for my brother and his family to come along and we'd stay for two full weeks, spend a day at a water park (which we don't normally do), plan at least two days to enjoy the resort pool, and park hop wherever we'd like. Of course, the food would be stepped up a notch! There are quite a few signature restaurants that I'll probably never splurge for in "real life" so we'd hit a lot of those. And I'd be ready to ship home all the souvenirs I bought....because they would be many!!

How many different Disney resorts have you stayed at? Favorite? Least favorite?

8..................favorite is Grand Californian (at WDW it is WL), least fav is POP

How many tours have you been on? Favorite?

None, but we did took the Lights, Camera, Magic tour with Adventures by Disney during our last Disneyland trip.

Would you celebrate your wedding at Disney World?

Would you celebrate your wedding at Disney World?

YES! If I wasn't already married, we totally would have done that. Just didn't get bit by the mouse as an adult until after we were married. :)

Same line of thinking: How far would you travel to attend a friend or family members wedding at Disney World?

I would go to a family member or good friends wedding at WDW for sure. I would add on a vacation to it too.

What is your least favorite time of year to go to WDW? Why?

I've not been at a time I would call my least favorite, so I'll speculate and say Christmas week would not be my cup of tea. I'm totally spoiled with slower times and would flip out at that kind of crowd.

Have you/would you take your kids out of school for a trip to WDW? If so, would you do anything differently during that vacation to make it more educational?
