Interview the person below you (Part II)

I have visited Universal, but it was many years ago...and yes I definitely felt like I was cheating on the mouse! It was fun, but just not the same.

Question: If you could only choose one single Disney attraction to do, what would it be and why? (I apologize if this is a repetitive question. I have not had the time to read through this whole thread)

I would do ToT because everyone in my family would be so happy. It is one ride that never disappoints and that all of us can agree on.

Question: What does a typical trip plan look like at your house? Example questions: Do you break in the afternoon, make rope drop, go to evening or morning EMH? What are the can't misses at each of the 4 major parks. Do you visit DTD and water parks as well? How do you fit WP in with the other parks? Do you always add a resort day?

Here's our usuals:
  • 2 days at MK, 2 days at EP, 1 day at AK, 1 day at DHS, 1 day at the resort (sometimes 2), arrival day at DTD and early to bed
  • Rope Drop or close to it every day
  • No mid-day breaks for us
  • Plenty of pool time
  • 1 "late" night for Wishes, another for Illuminations
  • No EMHs, am or pm
  • CP and TH breakfasts at or near 8:00 before MK and AK open
  • Sci-Fi lunch at DHS
  • Straight to: Soarin' at EP, TSM at DHS, Safari at AK, and BTMR at MK. Can't miss attractions for us: ToT and Muppets at DHS, FoW and trails at AK, Living with the Land, Ellen, Kidcot, and all of WS at EP, PotC, HM, Speedway, Buzz, and TTA at MK
  • No waterparks yet (maybe after the boys are a little bigger)

If you had to skip either AK or DHS, which would you skip and why?

That's hard. DHS is my least favorite, but has my favorite ride (ToT).
I guess I could skip it. I do love AK...........it is a beautiful park and we like to wander around and just enjoy the surroundings.....plus EE isn't bad either ;)

What is your favorite shoe for touring at the parks?

I'm a Crocs flip-flop girl, for sure. That's the only shoes I've worn that cause me no problems and leave my feet feeling good at the end of a long day.

How do you pass the time the week before your trip to WDW?

pack..........and check all plans. Leave notes for pet sitter.
Sometimes work on the next trip :)

How many trips is the most you have made in a year?

/
DVC decides it all.

What is your typical packing list like? Do you tend to over pack? find out you missed some things?

I have a fairly well-refined packing list at this point. We always end up with a few things we didn't necessarily need for the trip, but I don't consider it overpacking. And since reviewing the packing list is one of my how-do-I-get-thru-this-last-week time-wasters, I rarely forget anything.

What's your SECOND favorite ride?

Test Track.........hope the new version makes it still the same

What is your favorite TS downtown?

Hopefully T-Rex since we're trying it on our arrival day. The only other TS we've had at DTD is Captain Jack's and it was terribly underwhelming.

Could you stand to visit WDW and just eat food you brought in with you?

No......to me it would be seemingly impossible, plus I would never do that.

Question - What is your fondest memory of a WDW trip?

Our whole trip last year was a truly amazing experience! It was our first mother/daughter trip, and only our second trip ever, planning and going through with the trip was extra magical because we had waited 14 LONG years to go back, and everything felt like a first trip since it had been so long :)

What is your favorite picture from a trip you took to any Disney park?

My favorite pic is of my oldest DS when he was 4, standing by the statue of Walt and Mickey. The pic is of him from the back, with his Sorceror Mickey ears hat on and cocked off to the sie, staring at the statue. He stood there for a good 3-4 minutes, just staring. When he walked away, he asked who the guy in the statue was. I told him it was Walt Disney and that he created this wonderful place. He just said "oh, he didn't tell me what his name was!" Love love love that memory!

What are your thoughts on Avatarland?

While I'm sure it will be awesome, and fits well with the AK theme... I wish they would have done HS first. Put a pixar land in or something!

If you could completely overhaul any attraction, which would it be and what would you do to it?

Great Movie Ride...........add some new movies and special effects besides the end tape.

You are going to MNSSHP...........what would you dress as and what things would you want to be sure to see?

I'd be dressed as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and I'd want to see it all! Never been to MNSSHP before!

What non-mainstream thing to do is a priority for you at each park?

In MK: like to go on Swiss Family Robinson, and on our way up love to take pictures of MK from up there (there are points on the staircase where you can have great views of the park). We also like to just sit and people watch on Main Street with an Ice Cream cone in our hand from the MS Ice Cream shop.

Epcot: Sit and watch the Fountain in FW with an ice cream cone from Ice Cream parlor right there.

AK: Having an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck and watching the EE trains come screaming down the hill

DHS: Shopping in the shops heading to ToT and RnRC with a Frozen Lemonade in my hand.

Can you tell we love our ice cream? :rotfl:

Where do you like to sit and people watch?

almost anywhere.........we love to sit and people watch. Outside any ride is good.........and along the mail streets of any of the parks

What is your favorite time of year to go to Disney parks and why?
