Does anyone have recent experience with the video interview for an older teen (16)? What kinds of questions will they ask him directly? Just trying to prepare him for the experience

They have asked me different questions every time but the general things was what kinds of accommodation I have waiting in lines in every day life

They won't ask them what their disability is, but they will ask about what their specific challenges are and how he normally manages them. If he is nervous, I always find it helpful to make a list of points I want to make on a post-it I can refer to during my interview.

I went through the interview process yesterday for my 18-year old son (who is still in high school). It was... thorough and a bit grueling, but also fair. Although he needed to be present for the photo at the end once approved, my son was not required to speak nor even be on camera, but he was standing nearby in case he was needed. I was able to answer all the questions on his behalf.

Note that you must be logged into your son's My Disney account, not yours. (Don't know if this is different if they are under 18, but I had to restart the process logged into his account.)

The interviewer asked what his difficulties were and I explained that he is unable to wait in line for extended periods. He asked specifically what might happen if he had to wait in line for a long period and I explained what has happened in the past (and would likely happen again). He then asked how we deal with situations where he has no choice but to wait in line (like at airports or the grocery store... I thought that second one was an odd choice... what kind of grocery stores do they have in Florida?!). I explained that in those situations we take steps to ensure he doesn't have to wait in the line for too long, either with TSA Precheck or the like, or he waits off-line with another parent.

He continued on to ask how we handle these problems at school, and I explained some of his IEP/504 accommodations and how they specifically address situations like this.

I volunteered his specific diagnosis upfront, so I don't know how they handle asking about it or not, but for all intents and purposes you might as well tell them if you are comfortable doing so, because they are going to ask about the symptoms anyway.

At the end of the day, you know your child's limits. My advice... Be open and honest and don't try to cheat or work the system. If he needs the accommodation and you can demonstrate that, I think they will be fair.
