Interval International Question

I was told by a cast member that it is not a Once-In-A-Lifetime exception rule but they evaluate every situation.

MS had unborrowed points from a reservation that I had not asked for when she was trying to fix something for me.
I was adamant that I didn't want that to my "one time" since I was ultimately going to borrow the points anyway and that was when I told them that.
Now whether that is true or not who knows but that was what I was told by a supervisor. (Not a Bus driver supervisor either :) )

Regardless if it is true or not I agree with you as I wouldn't be worrying about the 2 points.

I have definitely had 2 exceptions (and one maybe exception). In 2022, I had to cancel last minute as my mom had a heart attack and bypass surgery and was coming home the day I was supposed to go and needed me to help her. Took the points out of holding and unborrowed points. And then again this summer, she was moved to hospice care (she is actually still doing ok) so I had to cancel last minute again. Took the points out of holding again. I did not ask either time just said I was cancelling last minute due to medical emergencies and I was sorry for the late cancel. And the maybe was due to a trip with points that Disney returned to me due to an issue (did not ask for them to be returned) so I did ask for those to be banked since it was after the deadline and that was no problem as I did not have them when it was my banking date and never expected the issue to occur.

I'm glad they were able to take care of this for.

Glad to hear your mom is doing better.

Two points is worth $40. Not worth losing sleep over.
I agree there’s no downside in transferring them to interval though. You never know, maybe you end up in a weird position with another cancelled reservation in the next two years and you end up with enough points in interval to actually book something. There’s no downside since they’ll expire anyway.
I am not losing sleep over this - just hate to see anything go to waste.

Was thinking like @AnnaKristoff2013 - one never knows. I may be in a similar position again within the next two years and actually have something in II worth using. If the two points just sit there for two years and then expire - oh well.

thanks.

I would deposit them as well, but I would not borrow just to rent them---that's the point I was trying to make.

I get it. I wasn't planning on doing that anyway - agree that it is not worth it. Most likely these points will expire from II in two years, as this rarely happens. I can usually get a family member to go when I have extra points.
