Am cruising without my family but would like to stay in touch with them just briefly each day. Am I able to use the Internet Cafe on an "ala carte" basis? If so, what is the cost per minute? At what point (i.e. how many minutes of usage) would I be better off with the unlimited package on a 7-day?

The per minute charge is $.75 or you can get the Unlimited Package at $89.99 for the 7 Night or $39.99, I think, for the 3 & 4 Night Cruise ... Andy

The per minute cost of using the Internet onboard is $0.75. That means if you use 17 minutes or more each day, it would be better to buy the unlimited use package.

The minutes do add up too! The service is via satellite and can be very unpredictable at times.

I believe it is 75 cents a minute or $89.99 for the unlimited use.

That works out to 120 minutes of use as the breakeven. At 6 days of use, that is 20 minutes a day.

That's 20 minutes a day I could spend enjoying the Magic!!!
Nope, you can forget Internet for me! I may enjoy it at home, but not on vacation!!!

I would generally agree. However my wife owns a small, personal service type business. She generally needs to check in with her 3 employees daily to make sure no issues/problems have come up. Email is really the only viable option on the cruise.

If you are planning on doing "a-la-carte" e-mail, I'd suggest you try and find internet kisoks while at port. We found one at senior frogs in Nassau and it was $0.25/minute versus Wonder's $0.75/minute. Admittedly, the WONDERful internet cafe was much more comfortable.:smooth:
