Internet trolls, DIS trolls, just an FYI

OK, I was just wondering because I have been reluctant to post here due to some of the posts I have read and some of the attacks against people.

Naaaaaa, go ahead, jump in. If you are a troll, it will become apparent in not all that long a time, pretty sharp group of people here on the DIS. Give it a try, you'll do great. You are not a troll, are you??

Don't be afraid to post here at all. The Dis is filled with some of the nicest people in the world. Sometimes, people will disagree with you but not in a mean way. The people that do seem to get nasty reponses usually deserve it.

Geez, it usually takes people at least 30 posts before that's a worry of theirs.

No harm, Sheri, we all have, that's how we learn. And you saw what happened, I am sure, more feeding, more trolling. Best always is just to ignore the troll, always. If totally ignored, they do go away, eventually.

I fed one also. I try real hard not to but sometimes they really make me angry...

Its "troll season" on another board I frequent. Usually trolls are people you have never seen on the board before and they will personally attack people out of the blue, or another kind of "trolling" is some "newbie" posting a long, elaborate hard-to-believe story just to see how people react.

Dan, you are right- they should be ignored.
