Internet pin back in stock?

I went to MGM to buy my Magical Moments (light up) pin and the internet exclusive pin w/ it. (For those not in the know, on the 100 YOM site, you could collect "virtual" pins. When you collected all five, you could print out a voucher for a free "internet exclusive" pin w/ the purchase of a MM pin.) Unfortunlately, they were out of them and the CM's who worked there did not have any ideal of them coming back. I heard that this pin should be back in stock sometime in November. I'm hoping that they would be there early next week (pay day, some LE's are coming out to make me broke!:( )

PS: It's #7161 on Pinpics

Not sure how helpful this will be but I can tell you that when we were at MGM a few weeks ago, they were taking names and addresses and offering to mail the pins out when they got them back in stock......they didn't know when that would be.......good luck!

Well I came home form the meet and had a nice surprise waiting for me. Richie had bought me a color printer.
The first thing I printed were my certificates. I want to make sure I have enough to get those pins for everyone who wants one.
And now I find out that they are sold out. Well, I guess I will have to put those certificates in the suitcase so they are ready for the next trip. It's not like those suitcases go anywhere else. Of course is there any other place to vacation? Peggie

I am so glad you got the color printer Peggie. I was feeling so guilty when I couldn't find the certificates I printed out before and couldn't get any new ones done before the meet last night. I even cleaned my computer room today, hunting for them. No luck. What a relief to know you've got your own now. btw, if I can't find mine or get the printer working before December I may have to ask you to print out some for me!

i have a few extras :D if anyone is looking for a trade.
check out my wants on pinpics

As of Sunday 10/28 still no pins. Had a nice chat with a CM. He wasn't sure when they were coming in, but said the next batch would be 10,000 and then there would be another 10,000 coming shortly thereafter. His explanation was that the pin certificate web site had only had 500 hits, when they ordered the pins. So, the original order was for 3000 pins. At 4 pins per certificate they figured they were covered. What they didn't anticipate was that people would xerox the certificate. Since they didn't say you COULDN'T xerox it, they had to take all the xeroxed copies. This CM says people come in with one color certificate and 4 or 5 reproductions, getting 20 or more pins at a time! This leaves the almighty pin wizards with NO CLUE how many of these pins they need, hence the sold-out pins!! Of course, this is second-hand info, I can't verify that it is true, but if it isn't it sure makes a good story!

It was my understanding, from both the website and the CM's at MGM that each pin certificate could be used for up to 4 pins, but that each of those pins must accompany the purchase of one of the Magical Moments lightup pins.....that is, one free internet pin for each lightup pin purchased.

At a price of $16.00 each (includes tax) for one light up pin, if there were people buying the amount needed to get 20 free pins (i.e., 20 lightup pins), then all I can say is that their pin budget is surely higher than ours!

I suspect that in actuality, there may have been some CM's that might not have understood the one pin per purchase requirement, and may have allowed some folks to have more than their fair share. Too bad for everyone else. And if this is the case, and that practice continues, the 20,000 expected soon may not last long either.

Several weeks ago, I purchased two light up pins (one for each of the kids) and as expected, was told that our certificate was good for two free pins (which were out of stock at that time). The CM that took our address simply wrote it on the back of a receipt that someone had left on the counter, then slipped it in a box with a small handful of other such notes. Didn't impress us as very "Disney official". In light of that, and your post above, we'll be curious to see if the pins we're expecting ever do show up in the mail. Cross your fingers.......

Like DaisyCrazy, we received a receipt saying we are entitled to 3 internet pins that will be mailed to us at home "in about six weeks." I'm a little sceptical, too, we'll wait and see! (How could Disney have underestimated the demand to such an ENORMOUS extent?

I did notice when I printed mine out that is said nothing about one per person or whatever. I printed two - one on the black printer here at my desk and one on our color printer. I saved the color one as it is so neat! I did assume it would have my name on it & only let me print one. I only used the black & white one & bought 4 light up pins. I gave one of the pins to a friend who doesn't have a computer but collects pins. I guess there are a lot of sharks out there!

The pin is back in stock! I got mine yesterday. If you have a reicet from the Magical Moments pin, present that to them and they will give 'em to you. They also had some Monsters Inc opening day pins as well. I don't know if they are out of stock.
