The Canon EF lenses will fit on Canon DSLRs. Does the A1 use the EF lenses? You could even go for the Digital Rebel for under $1K if the lenses are the same. That would reduce your costs! Once you go DSLR, you'll give up film forever!

Unfortunately, my lenses are a generation or maybe 2 back. If I had the EOS then I'd be in business. I only go to the A1 if I need to shoot in very low light, use a very long telephoto, or go to macro mode. Otherwise just about everything we take is with the Olympus.

We really like the digital mode. I always did like taking multiple shots and bracketing but with film it got a bit expensive. With digital, it just inconveniences a few electrons.
