I know that the answers to these questions can be found online, but I'm having a rough time.. for those of you who have gotten back from a stay at BLT recently:

1) Laundry for studios- Is there a laundry area somewhere in the BLT for those in a studio to use? How much is it?, Can we buy detergent there?, etc.

2) Internet- Is it free or not in the rooms? I know that it was offered free for DVC members before. (I am a DVC member, thanks!) If it's not, that's totally fine. Just yes/no question. For no... how much does it cost a day to use and is it wifi?

Thanks bunches! Can't wait for my trip!!!

I did laundry at BLT this past Dec and it was free. When you walk in, it down the hall to your left. You need your room key. I brought detergent but I think I recall a machine there to buy some, if not I am sure the gift shop in the CR would sell it.

I was there several days ago and as the PP said the laundry room is on the first floor to your left when you walk in. There is a vending machine in the laundry room to purchase detergent.

As far as Wifi in your room, it is free if you're a DVC member.

Have a magical trip! :)

Wired Internet is available free in your room- as a DVC member staying on a DVC reservation. There is no free wifi at Disney resorts.

Thank you for the correction, btw. I should have said wired internet, not wifi. Although I wish it were Wifi. :rolleyes1

Thank you so much to everyone who responded. Makes my trip so much easier! I can't wait to be there in less than two weeks!

Months after our BLT stay I noticed I was charged for internet. As a DVC member this shouldn't have happened, but I wasn't paying attention. Word to the wise for BLT stays...Check your bill.

The last time I was there (aug) the vending machine wasn't working. They sold detergent in the gift shop

and doing laundry was easy. I did it one afternoon when it was raining and my family was napping. There were, IIRC, 2 regular washers, 2 HE washers, and 8 or 9 dryers. I had brought regular detergent from home, but there were directions for using it in the HE washers (I think use 1/2 as much ?) I just hung out in the laundry room and read a book, but you sure could stop in the Community Hall or the pool, depending on the weather and your preference. :thumbsup2

Here is a photo of the BLT laundry room.

You guys are amazing. I'm excited to do laundry. Being a college student, we pay an arm and a leg in my Collegetown to do laundry.
