Internet Access ???

There seems to be some conflicting information out there regarding internet access at the resorts. We will be staying at the Boardwalk Villas (a 1BR) in June. We are not DVC members ... just booking through Disney as though we were booking any of the resorts. Unlike past years I will need to stay on top of my emails and wonder whether the internet is wireless or will I need to connect my laptop into a data port. What is the cost for internet ... there seems to be conflicting info on this out there as well.

I don't know about Boardwalk, but I can confirm that Bay Lake Tower does now have free guest wireless. It didnt last May (2011) but it does now as I type this on the iPad. Nothing we could find online would confirm or deny if the rooms had access or if you had to go a common area to use it. We are on the 12th floor so it must be available to all the rooms. I would call the desk at Boardwalk and find out directly from them.

There is free wireless at BWI/BWV guest rooms. Last I read, it is all deluxes, all moderates except CBR and I think at least some of the values last I heard (but not sure about that value part).

But I'm sure about the Boardwalk/deluxes/DVC part.

It may or may not work well, depending on your location in the resort. Don't waste your time trying to call - you won't get the resort anyway and it's a 50/50 (and I'm being charitable) chance that you won't get the right answer anyway.

Recent changes (within the past year) have resulted in free wifi for all in the WDW resorts, including BW. Check the very first sticky on this board for more info.

I can confirm that CBR does indeed have free wifi. I was there in February and used it quite a lot.
