internet access

hi - i know this has been asked before and i searched and was not finding what i was looking for - are there public computers available to guests - we are staying at all star movies??? while i do like to detach myself from the "real world" - i do need to check something while i am gone and i really don't want to have to bring my laptop!! thanks everyone!!!

Im 99% positive they do not have public computers, but I could be wrong. I brought my laptop with me last time, and they did charge you for internet access. I forget how much it was, though

I think you should be able to hop over to the Contemporary I read somewhere on these boards they have a computer room where you can fax stuff and check your email and such. The rooms do have internet access but its $10.00 for 24hrs.

Not to be downer, but Has anyone had trouble with their computers coming up missing? Do you hide your computer or just leave it out?

bummer - kinda figured i would not have access - really do not want to make a special trip to the Contemporary for that - also - really don't want to have to pay - hmmmmm - what to do??? does anyone know if you can fit a laptop into the safe at All Star Movies??? Also - do you have to pay for each day you are at the resort - or can you pick and choose when to have it???? thanks for helping me out - this is our first trip onsite - last year we stayed at a DTD hotel and they had about 5 computers so it was never any problem to check online.

We just got back stayed at ASMO, had my lap top. They do have internet access, but it is 10.00 for 24 hours and it is not wireless you have to bring a LAN Cable with you.
I did not use it...left my laptop out and never had any problems. I have read where some resorts have WIFI but not sure which ones or where.

If you want to go to ancient times, you can use dial up and I think its like 10 cents for the local call.

I thought I saw on an older thread somewhere that there is a place at Epcot where you can use the internet. I don't know for sure, that's just what I remember from a previous thread.

I think the same thread mentioned free wi-fi access in the parking lot of WWOS. Other than that, everything I've seen is the $10/day fee in your room.

But like previous posts, I'm a little afraid to bring my laptop with me. I'm wondering if the mod resorts have safes, and if they are large enough to store a laptop in.

The safes are definately not big enough for a laptop. Think big enough for a small camera and maybe your wallet. I took my laptop with me last time as well as a video camera. I just put them in the drawer when I did not need them and they were not bothered.

It is $9.95 for a 24 hour period to use the in room high speed. Some of the Deluxe resorts have Wi-Fi but here is a charge for that as well.

You can buy a $20 cable lock for your laptop and secure it to a piece of furniture.

No computers at Epcot to check your email.
