We will be on a 15 day vacation and I must have interent access. I have high speed at home with a dial-up backup because I take classes online. I have timed quizzes and am concerned that the connection may be slow (I will use the dial-up backup @ the resort, all star movies). If it is too slow for the timed quizzes, Can I purchase the High Speed for a day here and there.
Is there anywhere that i can get wifi on property?
We will have a car, but I would prefer to just stay on property. We did get waterpark & more option, does Disney Quest have access?
Happy Vacationing

I don't think there's wi-fi anywhere at the Disney resorts except possibly CSR.

You can get 24 hours access for 9.95 in the room. There's an Ethernet cable provided (usually they put it in the closet). I used it a couple times as I do some work online and it was easy to use.

My laptop has built in wireless, but with no wi-fi, I thought I was stuck paying the $9.95 per day. My IT guys hooked me up with a Sprint wireless card that works off of a regular cell tower (I think). I believe the cards cost about $60, but I could be wrong. After 2 weeks on site, it might be worth looking into. I am sitting on the balcony at the AKL watching the savannah while the family swims and am using the wireless card with no problem. There is no delays any more then regular wi-fi access. Hope that helps!

You go DznyDreamz!!!! Enjoy your vacation!!!
thanks for the insight, I'll be looking into your suggestions, sounds well worth it! SO you only paid $60 for the card, what about usage fees?

Sprint is great, but you have to pay for the card AND then the service. Here is the information: http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASA...ce=INDIVIDUAL&id12=CHP_PlansTab_Link_AllPlans

If you have a phone that can be used as a modem, you do NOT have to pay to use it. This is what i do and do not pay a fee to sprint to use the feature which is already enabled on my phone. You will have to do an internet search to find this information, but here's one of the biggest sites: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53497

Thanks! I'll be calling sprint tomorrow, luckily my phone contract runs out this month and have been looking to change!

I didn't pay anything personally because we had the internet card at work I was able to borrow. So it was free for me. I am of the opinion that the Disney resorts should have an internet rate for longer stays. So instead of $9.95 per day say its $40 for the whole week (or whatever). I guess they have no incentive since people have limited options.
