Internet Access for DVC Members

I heard recently that Disney has installed wi-fi in most all of its resorts. Is this service free to all? Do they still have the wired internet in the rooms at Boardwalk?

The resorts now have wifi. The reviews on it have been mixed and how good it is may depend on where your room is. We were there with a boardwalk view at BWV in January and the wireless sucked, repeatedly going out of service and then coming back on after about five minutes. Wired was still at BWV but there has been mention that it may be removed. There is currently no charge to anyone.

Wired access had already been removed from our Beach Club Resort room in January (on the 5th floor) and I was told that they pulled it out the same week the wireless went live. So I'm guessing it may only be a matter of time before the wired access disappears at other locations. (And wireless did not work well at all in our room @ the BC.)

Found the wireless worked best if you stayed near the router - out on the balcony I had to keep accepting the rules to get back on to the internet. The other thing that bothered me is it kept telling me I was on an insecure network so i didn't check any financials or work email which I guess is kind of a good.
