Internet access at the Swan

The Swan advertises in room high speed access socket. Does anyone know what cable/adaptor I need to connect to my laptop ?

If I don't take the laptop where is the nearest acccess available - is there a business center with a terminal in the Swan or Dolphin ?

A standard ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors will be required to conect your laptop to the hotel's hi-speed internet access. Make sure your laptop has a 10/100 ethernet port.

Sorry, can't help about a business centre in the Swan as I've never stayed there.

do they charge you for this then?

you would also need to have the tcp/ip settings for your network card set to "obtain an ip address automatically" ie to use dhcp

It's included in the Swan/Dolphin 'resort fee' which I **think** is waived if you are Royal Beach club/concierge. Not sure about that though

There is a business centre you can use at the Dolphin - cannot remember the fee but it was pretty reasonable.

Thanks Wendy. I don't fancy carrying the laptop if I'm not 100% sure how to get connected and if i can check my email from the Dolphin I'll be fine.
