Internet Access @ AKL

I will be checking in at AKL next Friday. At least for a few hours in the afternoon I need to be available to connect back to my office in an emergency. I may or may not have a room by then.

Is there any high speed internet available @ AKL?

Is it wired or wireless?

Is it avaliable anywhere other than the rooms, lobby or business center?

I don't believe there is WiFi at the AKL yet. Probably the closest place to log on will be the CSR business center. $10/15 minutes, if you are hooking up with your laptop it's $5 for 15 minutes.

The BW and YC have WiFI hot spots in the lobby areas.

As of april 04 they didn't have hi-speed in the rooms.

They do have dial up outlet next to the table in the room. I used it last year to stay in touch with my business. Slow, but still functional; and only a charge for local phone call as long as you have a local provider (I used my MSN account).
