Epcot opens at 9:00am on the day we are going. If World Showcase doesn't open until 11:00am, will the International gateway still be open at 9:00am? Can you buy tickets at the gateway? Thanks!

Yes you can still buy tickets and get in that way, they have all the countries roped off so you will head straight to the front of the park

The bridge to France is roped off. However, even though nothing is open in UK & Canada, you can sorta loiter and take photos. As long as you are "progressing" toward Future World, they don't hassle you. My husband has some beautiful photos taken during the flower & garden festival. The morning light is wonderful and the air is clear and the sky is very blue. By the time the World Showcase Officially opens the sky gets pretty hazy.

The ticket office & guest relations are open. If you have ADR for Princess Breakfast at Norway, or the Segway tour, you can enter even before park opening. The gift shop at the gateway is also open. We bought our first autograph book there MANY MANY years ago.

Front entry is closer to TT but on early entry days it may be very crowded in the front so it MIGHT be quicker to use the International Gateway.

A related question.

I notice that Future World closes before World Showcase. Are you still allowed to exit through Future World at closing? Is it just the rides that are closed or do you have to exit through the International Gateway exit - and if so where do you get the bus back to your resort?

Future World doesn't actually close before World Showcase does. Most of the major attractions remain open until the park closes. And you can continue to exit through Future World long after closing time.
