Can people show me photos of the IFFW foods they've tried? I'd love to hear reviews of what you liked, didn't like... maybe get some ideas what we should try while we're down there! So looking forward to that Cosmo Slush!!!

:faint:

Me too! I go in 10 days and want to know what to get! So excited I can barely contain myself. 10 days of gluttony here I come!!!

I'm interested too. I've seen alot of pictures telling what the items are but not really many listing what the person thought of the dish.

I just realized that it may be inhumanly possible for me to have one of everything at Food and Wine in 4 days time :(

I really want a review of that s'mores drink at the Desserts and Champagne booth.

Someone has to have tried it, right? ;_;

I will be happy to just have 1 from each booth... although I don't think I'll have the time or the tummy space to do that. DH agreed to keep the kids busy in EPCOT for me to go to F&W but I wonder how many hours of waiting in line that will take if I need to hit each booth in 1 day.

I had some really FANTASTIC food!!!

My favorites were...

South Korea : Kimchi Dog

Imagine the worst thing you've ever tasted...

Now try to imagine what the EXACT OPPOSITE would taste like.

The frozen s'more is even better.

We broke it up into three leisurely half-days (11a - 4p). Even on Saturday, which people seem to think was bad, I think there was only one time, maybe two, that it was more than 10 minutes between getting into line and receiving our order. The last day was a lot of repeats, too.

I think if we didn't spend 10a-11a at the bakery in France each morning, we probably could have fit it into two days easily. One day would have been tough just for sheer volume and alcohol content.

Our stats were: all 30 marketplaces, 48 dishes, 44 beers (there were one or two temporary substitutions when a location ran out of something), 20 wines, 57k+ steps, 24.5 miles walked (we park hopped afterwards).

We've been to the Food & Wine festival they past 4 years. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with the foods last week. The Canadian beef filet was a hard over-cooked piece of beef with dried up mushrooms & a drizzle of sauce. My Fisherman's Lobster & Seafood pie had no lobster. The scallop dish had a scallop smaller than a quarter. The only dish that was tasty was the Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto & Potato Crunchies. After the first three disasters, we didn't venture future. It was a big disappointment. I don't know why it was so bad. I was really bummed out

We went this past Saturday... I'll try to limit the negative things we thought about it because I don't want to ruin anyone's excitement, but overall we were not impressed. This was our very first time going. We were at Epcot at RD and went straight to F&W at 11am, when it started. We thought it wouldn't be too crowded because we figured most people want to do something like F&W in the evening hours. Well, it was PACKED! Especially from Canada to France, it just looked like a mile wide wall of people. The lines for Ireland and Greece were so long, I just couldn't justify waiting. I actually did get in the Greece line but we had moved so little in 15 minutes, that I estimated it would take an hour to get my food, so we bailed. DH liked the shrimp taco from Mexico and the Pork Belly from Brazil. He thought the beef empanada from Argentina was 'just okay'. He did not care for the pierogie from Poland or the sushi from Japan (he had the teriyaki roll). I really liked the vegetarian haggis from Scotland and the spinach pocket from Africa. The dessert at Australia was not good at all. The cheese kiosk was a let down. The blue cheese souffle sounded really good, but it wasn't. Maybe we got a bad batch. :confused3 The baklava from Morocco was the worst baklava I've ever had. Sorry I don't have better news. Like the PP said, we were really disappointed that we didn't enjoy it more. We had been looking forward to it so much! My hope for everyone else who has yet to visit is some of these places were having an off day on Saturday, and that Ireland and Greece are really good, since the lines were so long! I would say definitely go to Mexico, Brazil, Scotland, and Africa! :thumbsup2

That doesn't seem bad at all 10min per line.
I wasn't planning on hitting all the booths but I want to hit at least 10 of them ... :lmao:

See what I mean? It's almost as if there were two different F&W fests going on because we didn't have any huge lines and, even though it was crowded on Saturday, we never felt packed in. We toured clockwise (primarily), so Friday was Brazil to Italy, Saturday was America to France + Craft Beers, Sunday was Ireland around to Terra and then hit a few a second time, though we bounced around a bit.

That being said, there were a few things that we had where we were disappointed (Terra, mainly).

Overall: A blast and we can't wait to do it again!

I agree with everything you just said! I had a long line for Canada but that took only 10 minutes and everything I had was well prepared!!!

We went yesterday (Monday) and the longest line wait was about 4 minutes. We arrived at Epcot about 2pm and left about 7pm and saw the 5:30pm show of the Go-Go's!!!

Favorite treat of the day was the Scottish Banoffee Tart from the Scotland booth. Most disappointing treat was the Pavlova with fresh Driscoll's berries from the Australia booth.
