International Dinner & Dessert Reception

Has anyone done this? It requires 2 of our dining options, so I was wondering if it is worth it?
What do they serve?
Where is the Illuminations viewing section?
There will be 10 of us so we qualify for a Grand Gathering.

IMO, it was OK.
Dinner is at the Odessey restaurant. It is a buffet with International foods. I forget exactly what was there, we went about 2 years ago. The food was good. It was a little disorganized and it took our server forever to get our drinks. We felt a little rushed. The entertainment was real cute. A "storylady" gets the kids to help her tell a story. Then we moved to a really good viewing area where there were pastries, parfaits and such with coffee and lemonade (in a can). I was disappointed in the desserts.

Overall, we had fun, glad we did it, but probably won't go again.

The first time I went it was at World Showplace and the desserts were at the French Islands. The second time I went it was at Odessey and the desserts were in the plaza in front of one of the "tower" stores.

Both of these were bvefore you could use dining options.

We just did this in May. We thought the food was ok and the service was great. We never felt rushed and we had a great time. The kids really enjoyed dancing with Minnie and Goofy. The best part of this by far was the viewing spot for illuminations. I have seen it many times from around the world showcase and after seeing it from this spot I realized I had never really seen it before. We were so close that we could feel the heat from the fire. This is what made it worth the money. I don't think we would do it again but it was definately worth the money to do it once.
