Wow, has it been that long since we posted that our thread is GONE??!? Oh dear....seems to me it went on for ages? Guess I thought they lasted forever!

I searched and searched and though it only seems to go back 5 pages (??) I cannot find us! So must begin again, oh well..Good thing I like to talk!

I pretty much know how you are Bonnie as S & S keep in touch and I get the 'goods' that way lol! But I am wondering how you are Marjorie and this is where I find you ? How is Brynna? Tell all!!!

I was taking a walk down memory lane earlier and poking around Kev's blog and it linked to Brynna's which of course is active again! Is Brynna enjoying Marjorie? She doesn't seem to quite have that spirit she did before? Is it not as much fun the 2nd time around? I imagine it would be different..a whole different experience? Can't recall when but I think you are going to visit soon? I bet you are looking forward to that..how is another summer without her or are you getting to be a Pro at it now? Tooo many questions, I know. Eager to hear all about it....

We are good...kitchen reno on the home stretch FINALLY and the cabinets begin installation tomorrow. Can't wait...I have really had my fill and can only say NEVER AGAIN! I am done...Next time, we move! Can't believe how much it snowballed and lead to too many other projects..guess that is typical?

How's the weather out West Marjorie...it's been great here but we sure could use some rain! My grass is yellow and my flowers bedraggled...I guess there's no pleasing us?

Anyways, was thinking of both of you ladies...and hoping for an update...

Hey Karen...thanks for resurrecting this thread! Glad to hear your kitchen is down the home stretch!

Marjorie...would love to hear how Brynna's doing this time around...is she enjoying herself? We need an update! Hard to believe we're into the second week in July already - the summer's flying by...

Hey there ladies! Just cruising thru the boards and lo and behold there you were!

I'm actually on holidays with my sister and her girls right now. I spent 3 nights in Maple Ridge, then we were off to the Okanagan, Kelowna actually, for 4 nights watching my nieces dance competitions, we've been at my mom's for 3 nights and tomorrow we're taking off early and heading the long way home with a night in Whistler. That will be fun, have never stayed there and it's supposed to be really nice in the summer.

Anyhow, Brynna seems to be having a good time. She's having a bit of a quieter summer this year but has just started hanging out with coaster people some more and is amassing some new friends. She's also crushing on a fellow coaster worker this time around and they've actually become good friends (he's from Ohio but is going to school in Orlando whilst working at WDW). Kevin is heading over in mid-August so Brynna is spending a few days beyond her end date but we're not sure how many yet. She has yet to purchase her return ticket home.

I've been getting used to having Brynna gone, albeit it's taken a bit of time. My DH and I have been going out on dates, movie and dinner, at least once a week and I make him sit down and watch Pirate Masters with me, and now of course we'll be watching Big Brother.

We're heading out on July 26 although I'm having health issues again and may have to cancel and have surgery instead. I'll know by Thursday if we're still a go so I'm keeping my fingers x'd that my test results are okay. If so, then I'll still be having surgery but not for 2 months.

Also I've been made part-time (3 days per week) in my once full-time job which is going to cramp my style a bit! I'm hoping to spend some more time at CSC and see if I can build up that part of my life.

The weather in BC has been lovely, finally! Mind you in Kelowna this past week it was hitting between 36 and 38 which is frankly, too hot! Apparently back at home it will be in the late 20's, early 30's all week. At least we finally got summer, I was beginning to think it would never happen!

Glad to hear your kitchen is about done Karen, renos can be excruciating!

Well, off to pack up everything for tomorrow's departure. Let's keep in touch!

Glad you popped up Marjorie! Sounds like you are enjoying a nice time with your sister...hope your medical issues are not serious and do not impede any travel plans at all, least of all to Disney! These things do have a habit of rearing their ugly heads at the most in-opportune times don't they??

Glad that Brynna is making new friends...it can't be the same but not to say it cannot be as much fun or a great experience as last time! I am sure she is thoroughly enjoying..Sounds as if you and your hubby are making the most of things and I am sure he enjoys you all to himself! That's lousy about the job situation but as you said, perhaps things at CSC will pick up given that cooler days are sadly not so far away and people will begin to think about those sunny place.

We have switched our dates back and forth many times and I am so confused I am not sure when I am there at this point! Shanan and Shayna are heading down, Kev is joining them on the 16th and meanwhile we are heading to St Pete's Beach on Aug 17 (only way we could get Shelby to join us??) and will meet up with Shanan on the 22nd...though we arrive at Disney on the 21st. Complicated this year and sadly, miss the free dining. Boo-hoooo....Oh well, could not be helped as Shanan needs to be back at Queens on Aug 29 so what are we to do!

Kitchen plods along..they are still installing cabinets at this point and that in itself seems endless. Today they realized one cabinet is the wrong size sooooo I guess that will hold up the measuring for the granite...grrrr
It has been a LONG haul! Did I mention I WON'T be doing this ever again???

I am doggie sitting for my neighbours, 2 dogs one big (Mastiff??) the other little, Jack Russel. Funny,,, and waaaay too hot here today at 40C to be walking 4x a day! Oh well, in return, we are using their pool so it's a trade off.

How are you Bonnie? So glad the girls are all booked and at the right price too! Can't beat it when it all works out...I bet the countdown has already begun. Any action on the house next door yet?

Welll..guess I better go and look in on the puppies.

So good to hear an update Marjorie and keep us posted on your health. Will hope for only good news for you!
