International Candy & Snacks

I love Kindereggs. It's a shame the FDA won't let them be sold in the US since they have non-edible stuff inside. : (
Our little drugstore downtown ships them in from Germany (they're German) so I get one every time I'm in there.
Are you my long lost sister? I've loved Milka since I was a little girl! (lived in Germany for a while) And Haribo gummy bears..... YUM! :upsidedow
Perhaps...I was born in New York. ;)

I love Pocky, too. If you have a Cost Plus World Market near you, they sell Pocky there. My favorite is the dark chocolate. Yum!

Ok - so it's not really a candy, but it is an international snack...

I LOVE the "school bread" pastry that they sell in the bakery in Norway at Epcot. Plus, the thing is HUGE - a relative bargain for Disney!;)

Hmm, any chocolate from over here (UK) is a lot better than any chocolate you guys get in the US. Sorry, it's just true. Even your "Cadbury's" versions aren't truly Cadburys and they taste different.

Flakes are just chocolately really - they're kinda crumbly too

*nods* I agree...it does taste different. not hugely, but its noticeable!

Mmmmmm..... school bread......

Yummy! Thanks for the picture--I love school bread even though I'm not a fan of dried coconut which shows how good it is! The other pastry behind it is also delicious--I know I've had it but don't remember what it's called. Can any other Kringla fans out there tell me?

You can definitely find them in the US if you know where to look, but they will vary. Most places get them from Canada, not from Europe. I find personally that the best toys are the German ones. Other countries have different toys, and it's a matter of personal preference. A store near me even gets the giant ones in around the holidays, but charge way to much for em.

I think it's the Kringla pretzel? or something like that...

Thanks lindsmom--on the menu I see the Kringla Sweet Pretzel, that's it! Mmmmmm...I love almonds....

Thanks, but now I'm confused! Is it crunchy or chewy? Or just Chocolate?

Chocolate that is kinda crumbly and just melts in your mouth. So it crunches a little when you bite and then you get this explosion of chocolate as it starts to melt. When we were in the UK a few years ago we bought them all over. They even stuck them in ice cream you bought off the ice cream trucks in parks and stuff! We came back with a bunch of them. Then we found them in Niagara Falls Canada once and came back with a bunch of them. Then we found them online and ordered a bunch of them.... :rotfl:

I've been finding several of the candies that they sell in the UK, France and Canada at Target....for about 1/4 the cost!

Target is waaaay closer to me (20 miles) than World Market (90 miles). I will check that out, thank you!

Canada's Coffee Crisp. Became my favorite candybar when I went to Windsor, Canada, a few times during college. I've heard they're available at Meijer's (similar to Wal-Mart), but have yet to see any at our nearest couple of Meijer's stores. Did buy a couple boxes of them on eBay though a few years ago. Funny thing is, I'm not a coffee drinker, but love these. Sort of a Kit Kat, but with coffee flavor between the wafers.

Before they became more common in the U.S. there was a website that was petitioning Nestle to bring them here.

Canada's Coffee Crisp

Never heard of this one before. Anyone know if it is sold at WDW?
