International Calling Cards

We will have a German teenager stay with us for a few weeks. I would like for her to have the opportunity to call home whenever she would like.Where would I get an international calling card and about how much should it be per minute?

I figure this would be the cheapest way for her to call, but if you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Sam's Club sells them. I was looking at them the other week. Don't remember the cost, though.

EDIT: you can also use onesuite.com. If she would be calling a landline in Germany, it is 3 cents per minute. If she would be calling a mobile number, it jumps to 23 cnets, though. I use Onesuite for my long distance here in then US.

You have some options:

1. Regular calling card, you can buy anywhere really. I've seen them at grocery stores, especially ethnic grocery stores.
2. Ecalling card. You buy calling card online and they email you their 800# and pin # to use on any phone. I am currently using iscard.com
They are generally good (good rates) but every now and then connection is spotty. So take that into consideration.
3. Skype, if the other party has it as well.
4. If you live in a great coverage area think about purchasing tracfone. They promote international calls at the same price as local calls. Again I will stress only if you live in a great phone coverage area. Because their customer service STINK! But if your coverage area is great then you will have no concern because all you will have to do is add airtimes every now and then.
