Interline rates?

We are trying to plan our first Disney cruise, and one option we have (maybe) is interline rates, as my husband is an active employee at one of the major passenger airlines. We belong to a few interline websites and have found good deals on other cruise lines and at all-inclusive resorts, but it seems to me like all the Disney cruises I look at are exactly the same as retail.

Is there a trick to it... a number I should call, a website that specializes in it, etc.? Are there any special "terms" to booking interline - cancellation penalties that are different, etc?

We are pretty flexible on dates if I can find a good deal.

I booked directly with DCL just in case interline rates come out closer to sail date. DCL will convert you to interline rates IF you booked with them and call them and if they are available (IF they come out for your sailing). Lots of "ifs" in the scenario. You are right - there are not many sailings with DCL interline rates (compared to the other lines). This thread has some info and what I learned when calling DCL to ask.

Thanks for pointing me to that thread - I tried searching but missed that one. Where do you go to check for interline rates as it gets closer... do you keep calling Disney, or look online somewhere? I have various logins for interline sites.

It looks like the rates usually come out really close to the sail date too. I wonder what the odds are of getting an interline rate on any random cruise during a slower period. We were thinking October/November on the Magic.

I plan to just watch the other websites (that you have a login for). I did read somewhere that it can take them a day or two to update their sites, so calling the DCL Interline number may be a better plan. I would assume during hurricane season when school is in session might be a good timeframe for Caribbean!
