Interesting thought regarding Cindy Sheehan

There are many ways to love your country , and last weekend more people wanted to be peace-loving american than war loving- americans. Next week , maybe some one with the will of a Cindy and who is pro-war will gather as many people for there cause !

Geoff_M, I think whoever posted that to the DailyKos was a troll.

I first thought that too... but then I clicked on her user ID and it took me to all of her pervious postings and a long list of diary entries from "Camp Casey". If someone has been impersonating here there so publically for such a period of time, I think Kos would have known by now. If you think it's a troll, I suggest you notify them at once!

Given her recent "Occupied New Orleans" comment, I don't think this comment is that out of the norm for her. Sorry, but I'm "bored" with her... she's bordering on becoming a self-parody.

Frankly , I just read this article , and it talks about a conter manifestation to another manifestation . The first one brought around 100 000 people ( In one city ' more if you had the ones in other cities) , and the secound one brought around 400 people. Some people from that second protest are interviewed. That is the report: how is it soo pro-Cindy ? Maybe it is something I dont understand from the first poster ! There is so much you can writte about a 400 person rally !

And Cindy is not , from what I've read anti-soldier , she is anti-war. What is soo wrong about wanting peace ? What is so wrong with somebody who manage to put her grief into action and mobilize so many people to go give there opinionwich is an american right. My point is that when she was just by herself, and she was the only one (of about what, 8 people) that was protesting, anyone who said anything about her was uncaring (sliming her) because she was a grieving mother. Well, here was another protest, no matter the size, and those who were also grieving mothers, fathers, and wives, they barely get mentioned in the article about them, yet Cindy gets an entire paragraph in the article about the counter protest. Why? The article wasn't about Cindy's protest, it was about the "protest" for the war.

And time after time, when those on the right said that she was getting unfair time in the press, we were assured by those on the left that if anyone who disagreed with her were to show up, hey they would get the same treatment. When the AP can't even give a full article to any of them, I don't see it. I am just wondering why is Cindy's grief more important than the grief of the other mothers? Of the wives?

I usually stay out of these discussions, but I couldn't let that one go by.
That's the American attitude the world knows and hates! We trashed the place, under false pretenses, let's just go home and leave it. I did not support the war, I think it has been badly mishandled, but I think it needs our help to fix it. The place is so screwed up I don't know how it will ever be fixed, but that's the job of our brilliant leaders. I have seen very little of Cindy Sheehan because I don't watch cable news - I read the newspaper.

Saddam trashed the place -- and shredded his people.

We are the good guys -- ask the Iraqi's.

I don't think it is that her greif is more important but her message is one that people tend to want to tell and get it heard. She is speaking out against the establishment which not many people in her situation do those greiving while supporting it usually don't have to much to say that the media wants to hear sorry to say that but it is true.

I truly think that she started out with valid feelings and expressions when she started her protests, but now I think that it is all about the attention.

how about closing this thread? It's all been said, over and over and over and over again. We won't solve anything by dragging this old topic up. Why don't you guys want to focus on anything else? I think it's called,"SSDD"
