I posted this over on the Dining Board, but thought it might be pertinent here. I was told a couple of weeks ago that the restaurant Sanaa (over at the new Kidani Village DVC) would open up ADRs for the general public today (Feb 23rd). I called this morning at 6:00am CT, only to find that there was some computer glitch, and even though it was showing up in their system, they still couldn't book it. Anyway, after spending about two hours on the phone, they took my number and said a supervisor would call me within the next couple of days. I posted the question on the Dining Board, asking what was going on with Sanaa. I just checked and someone else said they were not able to get it either, but someone else said they did. So I just called back and got my ADR for May 12th.

What was strange about it though, is the very nice CM said the system would not allow him to book a table for a party of one, so he was going to have to put me down as a party of two. Excuse me, I have never sat at a table for one, WDW restaurants have always seated me at a table for two (or even sometimes tables for four).:confused3 For the CM to say that the computer was not allowing him to make the ADR for one diner seems very unfair. When I made all my other ADRs a few weeks ago, I had no trouble asking for tables for a party of one. I know when I get there I will be sitting at tables for two, like I always have. Is this part of their new ADR system? If so, it seems like they're going to start discriminating against solo diners. If a table for two is available, why shouldn't a solo diner be allowed to have it. No restaurant ever has a table for one, (that I know of, at least).

That same thing happened tome at Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club. Fortunately,ADRs really aren't even necessary there and I was able to walk in. But no ADRs available for one-Grrrr! I hope they get this glitch straightened out. Thanks for the warning!

Hi Vanessa! I always request a table for 2 just in case I run across another DISer who wants to join me :goodvibes

Are Mark and your mom not coming this time?

Hi Jamie! No, I'm totally solo this trip.

Hey Vanessa, just noticed you trip is around the same time as mine. Maybe we'll cross paths in the parks, or you'll find me at Jellyrolls most nights!! :cool1:

Sounds good! I'm meeting some other solos for dinners at Le Cellier, Tokyo Dining, and Ohana and also doing breakfast one morning at Crystal Palace. After dinner at Le Cellier on the 13th I think we're all going to Jelly Rolls.

Hi Vanessa.. I think we overlap a bit , I get to WDW on Sat 10/3.. wanna meet?

Well hi! I haven't seen you on the boards in awhile. I'm meeting PennConn and his friend at Tokyo Dining 5/9 and have an extra seat, if you are interested. PennConn made the other ADRs and I think he has some extra seats at quite a few of them. You might want to check on his thread. We are meeting at 'Ohana for dinner 5/11. I'm also meeting them at Crystal Palace for breakfast 5/13 and at Le Cellier later that night, then going over to Jelly Rolls afterwards.

I don't have my ADR times here in front of me but am dining solo at Mama Melrose Fantasmic pkg on 5/10, Sanaa on 5/12, Kona 5/14 (may change this one to either the Turf Club or Olivias), and Tutto Italia on 5/15. I am also doing two backstage tours: Backstage Magic on 5/11 and Wild by Design on 5/14. I am also going to try to catch the jazz player at POFQ one night (since I am staying there).

I fly home on the 12th - just a short trip to the World.

Ahh, well maybe our paths will still cross down there. I was reading on another thread that a group may try to get together to do some of the Kim Possible adventures at Epcot. If so, I may try to get in on it with them. Sounds like fun!

Hey, what's happened to my nice, quiet, relaxing trip? It's suddenly getting busy.
