Interesting Rewards.. to say the least

Well.. when we first decided to purchase for SSR last month, they said they would take credit cards.. so we said, well, why not.. so we put down half on the credit card (we bought 200 pts), and therefore put down 10k (intending to pay it off and not run up the interest $, of course)

Just found out that, at the time.. it looks like the credit card was offering 'extra bonus' on rewards.. so instead of the normal 'reward' of 1%.. it actually turned into.. 5%.

You can guess the look on my face when we just found out we got $640 worth of rewards back.. (on 64 freaking $10 cards.. hahaha!)


{I still don't believe it, but wife's called twice now, and they say 'yup.. it's yours}

It was a Chase ToysRUs Visa card actually..

Although, I think I may actually switch and get the Disney VISA - that $75 off DVC dues sounds great right now

I got the same thing!! I just rec'd 14 cards back the other day. I never got around to calling them about it. Do you know where this "extra" perk is mentioned online? Wish I knew about it before!

I never saw it mentioned anywhere to tell you the truth.. and i searched my emails and other websites just to see if it was mentioned, but I never saw it.. My DW called, and all CS told her was 'yup.. it just happened to be bonus % at the time.. no mention of how come, how long, what not..'

I said, 'ooooooook.. they just better not come back and charge us for any of it'.. so, we're gonna spend it for xmas... such interesting timing.. and I'm glad we charged it to the TRU visa now.. heh, $600 worth, woulda never guessed..

Although, I think I'm gonna switch to Disney VISA now, since the kids are outgrowing TRU..

Bad news...sort of...to the OP. I got a call from Chase yesterday telling me that they made a mistake and sent out too many rewards. I told them I spent them all. Their response? oh ok then don't worry...if you hadn't spent them we were going to ask for them back. Not sure what is to come but we will see...
