Interesting-re FP new rules

At least now with the roll-out of Fastpass+ testing the next two weeks we can settle the discussion on the reason for enforcement, right?

One would think, but probably not.

Well, it was one of the arguments that enforcement was because late users broke it since xPASS/FP+ wasn't coming for at least year, according to some sources...yet I recall saying several times it was coming sooner rather than later...

So is the tentative conclusion that less people are pulling FPs in the morning? Because they know they won't be good later in the day?

Could this then mean that the TSM stampede could dwindle? Has it dwindled?

I doubt that late FP use has much to do with it since, because of demand, the FP's were already pushed pretty late into the day pretty quickly. There have been reports that Disney has increased the number of FP's issued on at least some attractions, this could be the reason for later availability.

With the possible increased FPs being distributed, it is hard to tell the effect that the enforcement has had. It will be interesting to see what trend develops over the summer and if it is confirmed that they have increased FPs for TSMM.

Again, I believe that the enforcement of FPs was brought in place in preparation for nexGen/Xpass/FastPass+. Especially in light of the upcoming testing, its hard to argue otherwise.

I agree. It seems that with the new system, having people return at the specified reservation time is important to the system. I think they had to take away the late fp pekr or risk having the new system be less desirable than the old system.
