ClarabelleCowFan said:Yes they do, actually. It is back by the Tree Farm. YEARS ago when I was a CM I taught a seminar called Innovations in Action. Part of the tour we would take groups past the waste water treatment plant to the tree farm and then on to the recycling center.
I can tell you in DETAIL what happens when you flush at WDW!![]()

If I didn't know any better I'd swear your DH and my DSis were related. She has a complete fascination with poo. Good thing she doesn't read these boards!phorsenuf said:We were talking about Disney and he was asking where does all sewage (poo-poo) go that Disney generates? ClarabelleCowFan said:Well I am pretty sure it is the same process that happens at most Waste Water Treatment plants with a few extra touches...
From what I remember from my spiel, here is the nutshell version...
All waste is taken by pipes to the central plant where the solids are separated from the liquids. The liquids are chlorinated and de-chlorinated then used to irrigate the landscaping. Those signs that say "Reclaimed Water in use" aren't kidding! The solids/sludge are then fluffed with wood chips in giant fluffers then set out in the hot Florida sun to "cure" (it REEKS!). Once it is properly cured then it is used as fertilizer/mulch all over Disney property.
Hope that helps!
