Interesting presents

My Wife gave me a watch winder. Something I didn't even know existed. It makes a nice display for your watch and rotates it every few minutes to keep it running.

I love these and want one so bad. Every.single.Monday I go back to work and my watch is slow because it sat on my dresser most of the weekend (obviously it is a perpetual motion watch not a battery one).

I got 2 cast iron ceramic frying pans, a cast iron pot that I already own and a crock pot that is the same as I actually was using today. I am hoping that the receipt was kept so I can take it back for something else at Wal Mart.

My brother decided I needed a Clapper. I'm not sure what to do with it. All of our TVs have remotes and it's easy enough to turn off a lamp with the switch.

We got one a few years ago. We use it to turn the lights on the tree on and off.

Santa brought me cleaner for my washing machine. I must have been a good girl as it was a 3 pack.

I got a DVD on how to train my cat to do tricks.

It's by some guy that has a show in Vegas... My InLaws have seen the show twice now. Including just last week.

Everything this year was pretty typical, but one year when DGD was little (I think about 5 years old), she gave me a stuffed Kermit the Frog with the declaration "I know you love owls, G-Ma, so I got you a Kermie!" Huh?!? "Thank you, sweetie, I love it!"

Got a coupon book for the car wash down the street. Apparently my parents think my car is dirty.......

one of my boys from work ( hes 2) bought me sponge bob krabby patties (those gummy little snack things). He picked it out himself. His brother suggested that if i eat them right it may yank out my tooth!

It depends on what he got you last year.

A bottle of Bailey's (that I won't drink), a gift card to Olive Garden and a Disney gift card. To say I was underwhelmed is a big understatement.

I guess I'm lucky he loved the gifts I spent lots of time picking out for him.

One year my MIL got my husband a Dr. Phil book about dating relationships and finding the right person. My husband and I had been married for several years.

Wow.

My most interesting present was a 12" wooden ruler. It is a normal ruler on one side and on the other side it lists biographical information about famous ruling pirates. Interesting indeed!

I have never expressed any interest in anything pirate-y and never even see the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

I would kindly point out to him that maybe he should shake things up next year and go with something different. ;)

I have found over the years that some men just stink at gift giving even when you give hints. A few years ago I started an Amazon wishlist and at this point it has over 400 items on it and I add to it all year long (even more so before Christmas). Having so many items on my wishlist still makes him think about what to get me and I still get surprised (while getting something I know I want). This year I got the KitchenAid Glass Mixing Bowl for my mixer. I have had it on there since I started my wishlist and I gave up on ever getting it and was so surprised when I opened it.

well...my mom bought me bras and undies from victoria's secret. the bras are all too small, even though i told her my bra size REPEATEDLY, and the underwear just looks....strange. they're called low-rise hiphuggers, and there is a gather straight down the backside, i guess it is supposed to follow the wearer's crack. i can assure you all, i am about as far from a low-rise hiphugger girl as i can get, and my mother knows this; she's a member of their VIP club thing and has been getting me undies there for years-she knows what i will and won't wear. now, i have to go to the mall (which i LOATHE) and exchange everything.

and no, i didn't mention it to her. it wouldn't do me any good. at least she got me something i can (eventually) use.

My grandmother got all the girls in the family scarf hats.

I think the funniest thing was what my dad and his girlfriend got from her 4 year old niece- she got their gifts at her school's santa's workshop, and so her mom couldn't check and see what she bought them, because they stapled the bag shut, so she was concerned about it. They opened their gifts, and the 4 year old yells in an excited voice "they're nutcrackers!" She was just so excited about them, and my dad and his girlfriend got matching ones so they can sword fight :lmao:

That is nasty AND funny at the same time.

I got LOTS and LOTS of dark chocolate from the in laws, despite the fact that I have said numerous times over the years that I loathe dark chocolate. Yet I got POUNDS of it. :headache:

We should start a trade.

I got nothing :confused3 literally, nothing. Me and my other half are buying a new house in about 5 days and we decided to put the money toward the house. The 5 days of peace and quiet was a nice enought gift for me.

In my stocking, I got Den-tek Dental Floss Picks. That's all, nothing else, just a bag of dental floss picks. DH fell down on the job this year, a bit.

I also got a battery operated fuzz shaver, but I asked for this so I can rejuvenate some of my ratty-but-beloved hoodies.
