Interesting glitch tonight

Just finding this thread now, but luckily someone posted about thw glitch on facebook at 6:30am so I hopped right on and was able to change our FP's for Epcot and MGM!!!

We are hitting Epcot 3 times during our trip so we get to ride Soarin and Test Track each time!!! Was glad to actually mix it up and use a fp for LWTL instead of Imagination and the Seas- we always walk on those and Living with the Land is a favorite of mine! Also was able to get Toy Story, RnRC and ToT for mgm!!! Had to call IT for a FP issue with one in our party and she assigned us a 4th FP so we'll be able to use it on anything between the time frame she gave us! :thumbsup2

First, I got in at 4 am and changed a few of time too to take advantage of the glitch but if there is one thing I learned for sure with this thread is this is exactly why tiering is necessary until major expansions come to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

As we all knew, without tiering, everyone will pick the same couple attractions which either means the ability to secure any would be much more difficult and there would virtually be no option for standby.

It was really easy to get FP for them over the summer. But for fall and winter, thus far, very hard. So no, chances are not high you'll get them without trying for the latest possible time in your trip and trying for 1 at a time, with overlapping times, provided everyone is over 7. If your DD is 6, you'll have to get 2, at a minimum. Just keep trying

When you log on tonight, as the PP said, start on the last day of your trip. We were able to get A&E on day 7, but nothing before that.

We have a 9 day trip. We are visiting MK on days 1, 4, 6 and 8. Her bday falls on our 6th day, so I'm thinking I won't have much luck with that. I will start with the 8th day then, assuming the M&G's are even showing up in the system!! I guess getting one for a different day is better then not getting it at all!
Our other child is 4, so then we will have to do two sets of two if we have to go the overlapping route.

Sounds like you have a good plan. I would try for day 8 and day 6 too, just in case you can get them. But start with 8 first and then change them if you decide you don't need them both days. Or keep it if you want to see them twice.

I didn't ask the PP what they were using but if you are using the app and looking for FP it only shows you those with openings. It won't even list those without a FP available. So it's possible that is why PP said those experiences didn't show. So hard to say with the website being so glitchy all the time.

I won't be going to WDW until next October, if at all. But this is interesting to me. Do people feel that this was definitely a glitch or possibly a glimpse into the future? I also wondered if they might possibly be considering doing away with tiers during less crowded times, but keeping them for more highly crowded times.

I think it was a glitch because when I went in to see what was happening, it would only let me pick one option. I wasn't trying to change anything. I was starting brand new. I would pick TT and they gave me TT, Soarin' and LWTL. Couldn't even pick rides like Nemo or SE. These are the only 3 I could ever get to come up.

That definitely sounds like a glitch. But interesting anyway. Thanks.

That's awesome, sounds like someone flipped the wrong bit. :)
I hope they didn't book up the entire tier 1 FP pool in the process

I too was also able to get TT and Soarin this morning together with LWTL. Has anyone been able to switch out LWTL? Whenever I try to change my experience for that it says there are none available.

This is what happened to me, too, and I haven't had any luck changing LWTL (the only option in given to change to is Illuminations).

I had a similar glitch back on my March trip. What we found then was that if you've booked all three Tier 1 FP's, the system only gives you Tier 1 choices to replace them. With Maelstrom gone, Illuminations would be your only other Tier 1 choice. We would have had to cancel all of our FP's for the day and start over to get a Tier 2, but then we would have lost our ability to have extra Tier 1 choices.

I don't know if this glitch is working the same way as it did in the for us, but it sounds like it might be.

I was able to change up a couple Dhs days, and a couple Epcot days for our 10 day trip starting on Thanksgiving day! I just happened to see this very early this morning, well Thu morning now, right before getting off. Glad I checked, just in case it was another glitch like there was another time, and there was. And, the changes I made are still there, which I did expect after last time this happened, but am glad to see that! :cool1:

Thanks for the extra Pixie Dust, mom2mickeyfan, that was awesome, appreciate you taking the time to share! pixiedust:

Does anyone else think this is one of the stupidest things they've seen regarding the tiering system? Personally, I don't think the ability to book two tier 1 FP's was a glitch. I think it's another experiment to see what impact it has on the parks for a specific day. But again, Disney has skewed the results by assuring that guests who book Soarin' and TT are forced into booking an additional "teir 1" attraction. Additionally, if you choose Illuminations, you won't be clogging up the system by trying to book a 4th FP while you are in Epcot. I'll bet it's the same for DHS.

You're very welcome!! I'm so glad you were able to get things changed up! pixiedust: Our family isn't happy with FP+ at all and I won't mention what we think of the tiers since it might get deleted. ;)

I loved signing back on the next day and seeing how many were able to get more than 1 top tier FP+! Now, if that glitch could just happen again when/if we plan another trip!!

So the glitch has been fixed - but there is another interesting loophole...

I took advantage of the glitch yesterday and booked TT and 'Soarin for the last day of our trip. :cool1:

Well today, after the glitch was fixed, my brother told me that he had extended their trip a couple of days, and asked if I could copy my FP's to him (I manage all the FP's) for that day. I said I didn't know if it would work, since I had 2 tier 1's...

But I tried it and....

It WORKED! I was able to copy my glitch fp's to his family.

This is also good news for my other brother, who has a resort reservation, but is still trying to decide on tickets - I'm hoping I will be able to copy my RnRC (their favorite ride) and TSMM to them when they finally get it figured out.

The glitch is BACK!!!

I now have TOT, Fantastic and TGMR all on the same night(all tier1). I changed TGMR yesterday when glitch happened and just looked and was able to swap out ST for TOT.

nice:cool1:

Fabulous I'm so glad people are able to do this! I hope it's permanent:thumbsup2

I just tried and it is not working for me. I tried my Epcot and HS days and nothing. Only lets me switch out a Tier 2 for another Tier 2.

TOT is not a Tier 1 attraction. It is Tier 2 and so is ST.

TOT is tier 2. So it sounds like you got lucky with the glitch yesterday, but today you just swapped from one tier 2 to another tier 2. Still not a bad deal that you have two tier 1's in the same day though.

Yeah I just checked and it won't let me swap a tier 2 for a tier 1 at Hollywood studios now.
