Interesting experience at the drive-through

When did this rule come out? Heck, many fast food "meals" will cross that $10 range on their own. Getting food for multiple people (on a single order) will EASILY go over that arbitrary value.
I mean specifically for DD, where a normal drive-thru order would be one drink and one other item per person - so per person it should be under $10 and not something worth “splitting a bill” over. Carry a little cash or get the driver back the next time you go out.

I haven't been, but I was surprised reading how it is laid out. To me the joy of a donut shop is going in and picking "one of those.....two of those". I guess you can't even see what their donut selection is, you just ask "do you have an old fashioneds? Any apple fritters?".
I don't buy donuts very often, like maybe once every couple of years and I prefer the Mom and Pop shops. In other cities I know some are big Dunkin Donuts fans, but I have never found their donuts or coffee to be anything special.
I think people in the drive-thru are mostly just getting coffee I would imagine.

Weird. I don't like Drive Thru's and would likely not frequent a place that was drive thru only.
I never used the drive-thru until dining rooms were forced closed. I always went inside and walked out with my food usually when the car that pulled in ahead of me is at the speaker.

Now I find myself going in the drive-thru every time.

I started using curb side where possible and skipped places that it wasn’t. I am still using curbside.

Not reading all 3 pages but I guess I am wondering where do y'all live that you can't have more than one order per car? We get a lot of drive thru (well not Dunkin, lol) & usually have 2, mostly 3 orders without any problems at all. Now these are all orders placed on site thru the intercom thingy so maybe that is the difference? We just pull up & when they ask what we want we say "I have 3 orders" & they say "go ahead with your first order" and so on. I don't think we are holding up the line. I would rather someone be behind one car with 3 orders than be behind 3 cars with one order each. Also I rarely have cash & don't do the cash app things. Most businesses around here are still claiming the 'coin shortage' so they want to give a voucher if you don't round up.
