Interesting DVC/AP offer

We're not staying on points until Nov and we're having summer visit wishes. I just read that WDW is offering AP rates at OKW + Saratoga for $159/night. (If you call the special phone # for AP bookings). For giggles, I went to wdw.com, for my family of 5, and up pops a Saratoga Studio for 5. ...interesting....

Anyway, we're hoping to swing another summer trip.

You know, this doesn't really surprise me. In the latest Birnbaum's Guide (which I thought was a pretty "official" Bible for people going to WDW), one of the DVC resorts (I think it's BWV) lists its studios as having a capacity of 5 people.

For the heck of it, I just tried it on disneyworld.com with the dates of 7/5 to 7/8 at SSR. If I put 10,9,8 for ages (plus 2 adults), all it offered was a 2 bedroom. If I put 10, 9, 2, it offered a studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom. You may have hit a "glitch".

LOL The last time we went in August it was just as hot in NY (90's) as Disney AND they had a blackout! No A/C, no refrigeration...I felt so bad for my family who said "Oh no, it's too hot there!"

Would you mind forwarding that phone #? Our next point trip isn't until Dec. & I just don't think I can wait that long! Especially when it costs at least $159 /night to stay at the Jersey Shore! $159 for WDW & Chef de France, Le Cellier, etc VS. $159 for Ocean City, NJ, pizza, french fries, and cheese steaks---hmmmmm. It's a no brainer to me!

By the by, the online stuff doesn't surprise me. More than once I've gotten WAY more options, flexibility, better deals, etc. when going through a real person.

Looks like the 'glitch' is gone.... Saratoga Deluxe Studio is not an option now.

We actually like a summer trip as that is usually just resort relax time at the pool.

We just got back from WDW but I'd love to go back for a few days before the member cruise in October. I'll need to check air fare costs from Boston. Thanks for posting. Annmarie
