Was looking at port adventures for my upcoming cruise when a window popped up wanting me take a survey. I found several of the questions interesting.

One questions stated:

If Disney could only implement one of the following features, which one would you think is most important to add to the website?
-Photos of specific stateroom

-Customer ratings and reviews of onboard activities

-Customer ratings and reviews of stateroom categories

-Ability to view all your reservations including cruise and activities you have booked

-Ability to book online using multiply payment methods including credit cards

-Access your Dining rotation/schedule before your booking window for activities open

-Access to the deck parties (Like Pirate Night) and show schedule before your booking window for activities open.

Other questions include on a scale of "Not Interested at All and "very Interested" questions about the above options along with specific stateroom photos, etc...

I personally would love to know our dining rotation before the booking window for activities open because that would make special dining such as Palo easier to decide on. I would also like specific pictures of staterooms and knowing show night would be helpful as well.

Man, I just logged in and messed around for a while seeing if it would pop up. LOL But nope.

I would have voted the same way!

I totally agree. I want to make sure to do Palo on the night we repeat one of the MDRs so we don't miss any of them. I also hate how the stateroom pictures are generic and don't really give you an idea of the actual room or the view.

Totally agree, this would get my vote :thumbsup2 as well.

Can't you already view your reservation and booked activities? Maybe not all on one page, but the info is online.

I'd personally love to see reviews of port excursions. Onboard activities would be nice as well - or at least descriptions so that I have more information when choosing between two things on the Navigator! :rotfl: Not only would this help me choose my activities better, but if things are getting bad reviews, hopefully DCL would have a great incentive to change them!

Stateroom photos would be nice, but only for the odd rooms. For example, we're in 8502 on the Fantasy on our next cruise, which is an oddly wide forward-facing Cat 9C. Since it's non-standard, it'd be nice to know for sure if it has a curtain (photos I've found online indicate it does not) and other specifics for what sort of things they've done because of the odd-sized space. I think this would be especially important for the accessible rooms as well. Personally, though, even listing on the site during booking whether the room has a curtain, or a split bath, or a roll-in shower, or doesn't have a tub, etc. would be a step in the right direction to making better informed decisions!

I would like to know my dining rotation and the show schedule. What's funny is that they do have the info before-hand - on our last cruise they sent the schedule out with the cruise docs. And the schedule is fairly well standardized on the regular sailings as well, so I'm not sure why it's such a big deal to post what show goes when. Maybe they try not to set expectations too far in advance in case they have to change the itinerary?

You can get the show schedule now by calling DCL. Of course that is subject to change.

The problem is that unless you know your dining rotation, you don't know how to book any specialty dining (and in some ports, it may influence activity choices). Knowing dining before booking window would be helpful.

Hi!! I was in 7004 on the Dream, also one of the non-standard forward facing rooms and it did have a curtain you could pull over the porthole. The blue part pulls closed.

I absolutely loved the stateroom and the view over the front of the ship! I realize it's a different ship, but I would assume something like that would be the same.

I meant a room-separating curtain - between the bed and the couch. I agree that rooms with windows would all have a window curtain. ;) It's good to see what the slanted curtain looks like, tough - thanks! We're looking forward to the room - we usually sail insides but with the virtual portholes they seem to be fewer and more expensive on the newer ships!

I think they should have as much information on there as they can. Not sure why they would only add one of these things.

i wish the initial screen to find a cruise was easier to do. I find I have to go back to the initial screen and start all over keying in destination and departure port, it should retain that unless I change it.

I think the reason they only ask for one is that they want to see which one people want the most. They may very well implement all or none of these options. pirate:

Hm. It keeps all my info when I click the link at the top to change my cruise selections and/or when I click the back button after looking at a specific month's cruises. Maybe you're talking about a different part of the process, though?

Hey do any of you guys have a picture of the state room 7004 because im going on a cruise soon and i want to know how it looks.

It's not as convenient as getting reviews from the DCL website would be, but I look up the port excursion reviews on TripAdvisor. They are the same excursions given by the same people and it gives you a better idea if you would like the excursion or not.

Wow. I fell for the zombie thread. LOL

Clicked around on the website a while and got a survey, but the same one I've been getting recently - nothing about features to see on the website or anything. :/

Lesson learned: look at the date on the original posting!!
