Interesting auto-correct

My brother was asking what my account was... except the computer decided that he meant to type "coconut".

My husband was trying to update me on the status of his errands one time. He typed "Leaving the bmv" after he renewed his license. But as he clicked send it auto-corrected to "leaving the bomb" I was very confused when I received that text, but I quickly received a second one that said "B M V Stupid autocorrect."

My favorite was when I texted DS " do you want crabs for dinner?" and it autocorrected to ARABS.

My auto-correct is crazy. It keeps finishing words incorrectly then adding my typing as a new nonsensical word. For example, if I type "I will arrive tomorrow." You might get "I will arrest ive tomorrow." I have to proofread everything carefully. I turned it off but then I have to manually capitalize "I" and other words and also manually put in apostrophes in contractions. Not sure which is worse.

My best one was when I was going to meet some friends & I text to let them know 'Destiny is coming also'. Somehow that turned into 'Jesus is coming also'.....

I was texting a friend about a concert I wanted to see. The concert was at the local field house. My phone decided that it was really at the jailhouse.

Wrote a text to my sister a few weeks ago to tell her I was making a quick stop before being dropped off at her house. It went, "I'm stopping at RiteAid to pick up my gays."

I don't know why 'meds' was changed by my phone to 'gays.' I am not prescribed gays for my depression, although maybe I should be.

What I find frustrating is when it assumes some odd word that I have never typed before must be what I wanted to write. I have wondered what rules it uses to try and decide which word to suggest.
