Why Hasbro decided to make all the Disney dolls is because Disney's contract with Mattel expired but they still make the Disney/Pixar figurines and plushies and even some Star Wars toys. But when Hasbro decided to make Disney dolls the quality of the dolls improved and the Hasbro dolls are well made. For awhile it seemed that Playmates Toys was gonna make Disney dolls but they failed to capture the success.
