...during 4 night cruise. We have never done this before and am curious as to the cost, the length of time, and if it's fun! ;)

Any info. would be greatly appreciated!! :)

I know that it is an excursion on Castaway Cay. It cost $70 per person. If you go to the Disney Web Site and look under excursion for Castaway Cay you can find more info.

We went parasailing on CC during the 8/9 Eastern Magic, and we had a blast. None of our group had done it before, so we were a little nervous. But we all enjoyed it. My 14 yr old son said it was his favorite part of the cruise! --Katrina

DH and I did it on our honeymoon on the four day. It was fun and it's really cool to be up over the ocean like that. I don't remember how long each of us went up but it was enough time to enjoy it and look around and look down and wave and wonder what your rear end looked like from that high up. :p

I was very nervous beforehand. But there is nothing to be nervous about. :D I'd do it again!

Question:

What is the likelihood you will get your head wet?

I have a bum ear ( hole in right eardrum). I have an ear plug that I wear in the shower, etc. But I am not thrilled with the idea of ever submerging my head.

What do you think?

The boat operators said it has happened that people go into the "drink" but, it didn't happen to me. I loved it! It was a dream of mine to go parasailing and I was so proud of myself for actually doing it!

I say go for it!!

My husband and I went parasailing on our honeymoon in Nassau. I don't remember the exact cost but it was much cheaper than on CC. It was beautiful scenery--you could see the whole island and Atlantis and everything! I was pretty nervous, but once you're up there it's actually pretty peaceful. I would highly recommend it:D

Tell the boat crew you can't get wet.

I used to be a Parasail boat crew and we would sometimes "Dunk" flyers, but not if they did not want us to. (You slow way down and let them drift into the water and then take back off, it is fun! I don't know if Disney does this!)

Of course when I was a parasail boat crew you HAD to get wet. We took off from the shore and landed in the water. This was before they started using the wenchs to launch and land! (I am dating myself!)

I parasailed at CC in May - it's a BLAST! Everyone wanted to get wet when we "landed". It amounted to our legs getting wet. Just tell the crew you don't want to get "dunked". The parasail part was so calm and peaceful...just like floating in air(which of course you are!). We were airborne about 10-15 min. The boat ride, however, is a scream. We bounced a lot and enjoyed it, but then again, I love rollercoasters! Have a great time!

Thanks so much for the info! I think we may give it a spin when we go!
