Interest List for DLH Tower

There is always potential that this will be the case but I also know Disney has more ways than just a list to gauge interest. As an example they will be sending out marketing material on this resort and they will see things like click rates, view times, what parts of the page people are viewing, how often that person comes back, ect.

So Disney can really collect the interest about the resort without needing a list.

The way I interpreted info on the OP, it's for people interested in purchasing, not just for more information (ie: clicking on links, requesting brochures, etc.). Now, I realize expressing interest is very different from actually purchasing and many expressing interest may never end up purchasing. But, I imagine DVD would handle this "interest" very differently if 1 million vs. 1,000 people are on that list.

I saw it mentioned on reddit that it is possible to call member services to get on a list of people who have interest in buying at the new DLH tower. We're planning to buy that as soon as we are able. Does anyone have experience doing this? Is there any reason to do it?

No reason whatsoever.

I had read that somewhere. Do you recall the actual timeframe?

We bought early when it went on sale in March of 2009 - just because, not that we thought it was going to sell out. Then we added a few more points in early 2011. I'm not certain exactly when it sold out but just from our purchases it likely was likely close to 2 years. I think that BCV continued to hold the record for fastest sell out until VGF?

Do you remember whether incentives were rolled back/withdrawn towards the end of sellout of those resorts?

Back then the removal of incentives really did correspond to points pretty much being sold out. Once they announced incentives were gone then it was "sold out" although of course nothing is ever completely sold out as they recover points via foreclosures and ROFR. Our second purchase before it sold out had some sort of incentive but I no longer recall what it exactly was.
