I visited insuremytrip.com and am confused. The max amount for cancellation for the entire party of 5 for every policy I looked at was $1200. Isn't this low?

Trip cancellation is the per person cost. You can't collect more than what you paid for the trip.

The trip is $6000. Thanks for the info. I will check and see if I keyed something wrong.

Nope...5 x $1200/pp = $6000. :) I edited previous post...trip interruption is 1.5 times the cost per person!

Can anyone tell me again the website for the company that DCL uses? Also how late is too late to purchase the insurance?

When you purchase the insurance generally has some impact on what is covered or how much some things are covered. We were able to get coverage for medical evacuation (the only thing I really am worried about when I cruise) just a couple of weeks prior to the cruise, no problem. Coverage for things like financial default of your air carrier, by comparison, is generally not offered unless you buy your insurance immediately after first booking your trip. (Different companies and policies will differ. See each policies T&Cs for details.)

DCL used accessamerica.com. You can get it thru them on our own much cheaper, especially if you choose the AAA family plan.

Jsme, I answered your other post regarding insurance...you can purchase it now.
