We are not flying. We are going 1st week of Oct. If a hurricane hit what would insurance do for me? We are getting no expire tickets and it is not like we wouldn't still need a room... so what is covered? Do I need it?
I was watching the Weather Channel or something about Hurricane Dennis yesterday. They said trip insurance did not cover hurricanes. Only your individual problems, like a sudden illness or death. Just check out the policy before you buy it.

Medical evacution, lost luggage, etc. I really don't see a reason to buy it if you aren't paying for a package up front, in full. I always buy it for cruises because I have prepaid the entire trip 60 days out. Also, in the Carribean I want to know I can get home if there is a medical need.
I am paying for a package 45 days upfront, but decided against the insurance. It was going to cost me around $100. If I cancel 6 days or more ahead of time I only lose $100. If I cancel less than 6 days I lose $200. I think that's correct (I hope that's correct ). I was also told by the cm that booked my package that WDW does everything they can to work with you if a hurricane messes up your vacation plans.
