Aplogies if this has been asked before.

Ive got high blood presure (its under controll with medication .)

can anybody reccomend a insurance company that will insure me as opposed to saying pre-existing conditions are not covered.

thanks

I am in a similar position to yourself and after much searching around I've decided to go with Marks and Spencer insurance

Their full insurance document is available in .pdf format to view on line and I felt that my pre-existing conditions would not cause any probelms under the criteria they noted. However I still rang to hear them confirm this in person which they did no trouble at all

I saw another post (somewhere?) that it also pays to make sure you are covered for "complications arising as a result of any pre-existing conditions". I presume the company may cover you for for cancellation as a direct result of a declared pre-exisitng condition but use a "complication associated from it" as an excuse not to pay. The post didin't give an example of where this situation had been employed, if at all, and I must admit I cannot think of one. However you hear of insurance companies refusing to pay for such "petty" reasons these days it may well be worth raising the point with them before accepting any insurance.

We normally use Virgin travel insurance, but because both my daughter and myself have medical problems their premiums have doubled for this year. I looked on the web and found a good deal with AllClear travel you can book on line, and it is half the price Virgin were asking. We are paying £116.34 for both of us for 21 nights.

DH has a whole heap of medical problems but we still got travel insurance with Lloyds.

For the year the cost was around £100 for the family.

I applied partially online then phoned them with details of hubby`s condition including all his medication and hospital appointments, after consulting their Doctor they decided to insure him.

Lloyds then sent us a form confirming all the information I had given them.

This gave us peace of mind.

Good luck

My mum is 79 and has high blood pressure also controlled with medication and she has just got annual cover with American Express

We've taken annual this year with Halifax.
Very reasonable price and my pre-existing conditions covered at no extra charge.

I am severely astmatic and alot of companys dont cover me as they wont pay for any medical care caused by the asthma

I have been wiith abc insurance for 3 years now as they fully cover me for no extra cost, lucky for me I am with them as in febuary my plane had to land at chicargo instead of orlando due to me having a bad asthma attack and needing assistance fast, I didnt have to pay anything towards my hospital stay, or for the flight landing or for my connecting flights to orlando, all the airline and hospital had to do was photo copy the insurance, i never even saw a bill.

As you can imagine I am covered with them for this years trip and I am praying I get all the way to orlando, without being ill
