We are going to rent a stroller from an off site company (probably Kingdom). Just curious about the insurance coverage and the necessity for it. Granted I don't wish to pay the replacement cost ... but is the extra $20 for insurance something that people typically go ahead and get?

We've rented from magic strollers and kingdom strollers 4 times and have never got the insurance. If we got the money back on return of the stroller, maybe we would get the insurance. It's a risk but we've never had an issue. I'm sure having something go wrong is a rare occurrence.

Didn't do it, worried about it and considered adding it, but never did. Didn't need it.

I would do it and we do it every single time. There was a thread not too long ago about a rental that was stollen when just left for a short while at AKL. It happens. The insurance also covers theft and damages.

We've rented three times and have gotten the insurance each time. We haven't had a single problem with a stroller, but the $20 is well worth the peace of mind to me, especially given the cost relative to the overall price of the vacation.

I agree with PP, we rent from Orlando Strollers and I get the insurance. It is just for my own peace of mind and a lot cheaper than replacing the stroller.

Insurance is one of those things that costs most people more than they'd normally spend but saves a few people a lot of money. If it would ruin your day to pay for the stroller because something happened to it, you should get the insurance.

We rent from Orlando and always get insurance. We've never had to use it, but one less thing to worry about (and I tend to worry lol) is worth the cost to me.

You can rent from Apple strollers and pay ONLY insurance
that's what I am planning to do in my next trip

I've rented twice and got the insurance. They will charge retail if anything happens to the stroller. I prefer not to have to worry about it.

Ive rented multiple times and haven't gotten the insurance. No problems. That's a personal decision that isn't right or wrong.
