Do any of you have to transport insulin on your trips? If so , how do you do it? Are there any cooler type devises out there? I have just been put on it and am concerned about the temperature. Thanks so much for any and all advice.

Read the packaging on your insulin. Many different types of insulin can be out of the refrigerator up to 6 months or so. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if it doesn't say on the package. My son was on Orapred on one of our trips for his asthma. We brought an insulated lunch box and ice packs. I brought sandwhich bags and filled them with ice once we got there, and when we left.

I just throw my Medicool pack in my purse. In the room I just leave it at bedside. During this time of year a can just throw the vials in the purse. It is cool enough.
