Instyle straightner

anyone have one? Thoughts on it?
Thanks

DD14 has one and absolutely loves it. She has had a couple of other straightners but, they didn't work nearly as well. She bought the Instyler a couple of weeks ago at Wal-Mart for $94. I used it the other day and I have to say that I am impressed with how well it works and it is fast. My hair is wavy/curly and the humidity frizzes it like crazy, when I used the Instyler it straightened my hair pretty quickly and it stayed that way all day.

There is one on Amazon for $86.24 with free shipping.. and Amazon does not charge tax.. at least here in FL. For some reason when I try posting the link for it, it will not work.. sorry.. but if you look it up on Amazon, you will find it. It is not the ceramic one though.. and I think the Ceramic is better for your hair.

I saw it in BJ's yesterday but I cannot remember if it was $79.99 or $89.99. My DD's friend has it & DD has borrowed it. She likes it, but she likes her Chi much better.

Her Chi isn't working that great now, something's wrong with the cord. She has had her Chi for at least 4 years if not longer. Her Chi will still work, but she has to play with the cord. I can send it back to Chi for $35 and they will repair it. I am going to do that instead of purchasing another one for her.

I love mine! I have waving thick hair and it makes it look so healthy and model perfect. It is very fast to, I can do my entire head in 30 minutes, a flat iron takes about 2 hours. If my house was on fire besides my kid it is the thing I would grab going out the door. My sister after a couple decades of bad hair days got one first and my mom asked me what she done to her hair lately because it doesn't look like crap anymore. You wil be very happy with it. It comes with a DVD too to show you how to use it for different looks, it is super easy.

I'm looking for something for dd12. I'll have to look into this. I have a chi. I'm looking for something that she wont be able to burn her hair off. She has no experience with flat irons or curling irons. Another thing is her forgetting to turn it off. Does the instyler or any other type have an automatic turn off????

Well what the heck am I doing wrong with mine then? I got mine back in April and have used it about 5 times with lackluster results. I wanted it to give me some oomph but it just doesnt seem to do so for me. Tips?

I clip off sections of my hair because it is so thick. I take the top section all the way around and clip it back, then the middle all the way around and clip it. I then use it on what I call my bottom layer or section of my head and then move to the middle and then the top section. That gives me great volume. Also.. what setting do you have it at, I use the middle one, the highest one is way to hot and does more damage then good in my opinion. It is different from a flat iron too, you should go out not down with it when doing a section of hair.

My hair also has to be completely dry, if it is moist at all it doesn't turn out well.
