Hi all! I know I have asked several stroller questions and I promise (I hope!! :D ) this will be the last before our trip. My DH and I bought an InStep EZStrider Double Jogging Stroller for our DD's (almost 4 and 16 months). After getting it out of the box and putting it together it's HUGE!) It looks like it will be incredible for jogging and walking with the girls but now I'm concerned with how well it will work for traveling to WDW. :earseek:

The stroller feels like it will push easier and maneuver well but we are staying at Pop Century and will be on the bus a couple of times a day and I don't want to be one of those people getting dirty looks for taking up half the bus with one stroller. Does anyone have any experience with a stroller like this or something similar. It would be nice to take but I don't want to be cursing it after a day at the parks. We are going Feb 10-15 if that helps as far as crowds and stuff goes. Thanks!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: 22 days until we leave!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We have a Tike Tech Double stroller that my Mom uses when she has my son and my niece-it's great for use at the mall or walking to the playground but, unfortunately, it's not the greatest stroller to use at WDW. We brought it with us in Sept '03 when my son was 14 months and niece was 3 months & it was more of a hindrance than an assett. Although it does fold up, it's very wide and quite difficult to get on and off the buses with. Also, depending on the crowds, it's easier to maneuver the smaller umbrella-type strollers than a double jogger in tight crowds. My sister and I decided to each bring our own stroller this year to make things easier. Truthfully, it all comes down to your personal preference.

Have fun!
Sarah

I tried doing a search for this stroller, but couldn't find out this information (sorry). For walking, you really want a front swivel wheel. Fixed wheels are ideal for running, but not great for maneuverability. So, if the stroller has a fixed wheel, it would be great for jogging. I often see parents holding their jogging stroller's front wheel off the ground at Disneyland. To me this looks super inconvenient, so I would try it at a crowded place before your trip. I have a jogging style stroller that is more of a walking stroller (it has smaller 12" wheels and the swivel wheel), it performs great at Disneyland (and can turn on a dime). If it swivels and turns well, it should be great for the crowds. I haven't used the buses at WDW, so I can't answer that portion of the question, I'm just a freak about strollers :D

Have a good trip and enjoy your new stroller,
Jennifer

i'm trying to figure out how you'd even get it ON the bus! i had a heck of a time with my single swivel wheel jogger (kiwi explorer e3) last summer.

with your kids ages i'd bring 2 strollers. an ultra lite umbrella for the 4yr old (like a maclaren volo or the chicco caddy) and an umbrella with recline for the 16 month old, like the inglesina swift or the new babytrend ones.

jennifer- i'm a stroller nut too (i have about 8 right now)...i think i've seen you on swap?

We took a single jogging stroller to MK on our last trip and I would not do it again. The maneuverability is not good and it's hard to make turns in the parks. We had to constantly lift the front wheel off the ground to turn. I could imagine a double to be worse.

I would not use a double jogger at Disney, since as you say, they are huge. They are a pain to get through doorways, and quite honestly, I don't think they are fair to other people. I would go with a narrow double (lkie the maccleren, or an inexpensive sbs umbrella stroller). When we took our twins we actually used two umbrella type strollers and a pair of connectors. When size wasn't an issue, or if dh or I were with the boys alone, we connected them. Most of the time dh and I each pushed a single stroller.

Yep, caught me -- I'm on swap too. I only have 4 strollers right now. I've promised my dh that I won't go above that (we have no more room for them). But that doesn't keep me from changing my stable. Problem is, I keep getting so attached to them. My newest is the E3, I love it!
