Was just thinking about packing my kids for a day at the parks and encountered maybe a small problem. Our little one is one of those kids that always wants to use the change laying in the bottom of the bag. As a result, her bills usually tumble to the ground. I am wondering whether I could instead convert her spending money to some kind of Disney card. I know there are cards I can buy through AAA but their costs are so much it would not make it worth it. I just need some kind of card a 6 year old would be able to use probably entirely at gift shops at WDW.

Last year they had those types of cards at the resorts. My sister gave my two sons each one when they were down there.

The Disney Store has gift cards that are reloadable. The cards can be used at the store, the parks, the cruises, resorts, etc. You can purchase a card with a miniumum load of $5 (I think) and a maximum load of $1,000. I bought one and every time I go to the mall I stop by The Disney Store and add a little more $$ to my card. Although saving for my next trip using a savings account would gain a little interest, I decided that other expenses won't have a chance to cut into my Disney savings by using the gift card.

We have seen gift cards at most of the stores around Disney. I figure you could buy one of these and use it as needed.
