how large is the delivery frame for instacart? Do they give you a time? How far in advance do you order? Considering doing it for January trip but worried about having to be there to receive beer/wine.

I'd love more information on this too! I actually tried to order, but it looks like you can only order about 5 days in advance.

I've used them in my town. You get a window for delivery and you do have to be there to receive the groceries. You get an email when they begin shopping and will get updated if they have to make substitutions for you to accept or decline. When I signed up, the first month was free for deliveries with a $30 order. You do pay a service fee and tip though.

I liked that you have more options than some of the other services, however some of the substitutions bothered me. I also thought things weren't packed very carefully and I had dented cans and produce that was not to my standards. I told them I must have been spoiled by other services because it wasn't the same. If you are only looking for drinks/snacks maybe it would be okay.

After my free month, I haven't used instacart. It wasn't worth the monthly fee for "free" deliveries.

Safeway delivers to Disney resorts. If you order alcohol you must be present to receive it. I used them last trip, and they brought it to the room at Pop for me. I use them at home often, and would highly recommend them!

We used Instacart in August. There are hour slots you choose for delivery. You can only order a week out. We had no problem with the service and will use them again for future on site stays.

So they come within an hour time slot? For example, between 4 and 5?

Any idea how late you can have the delivery? We’re landing at MCO at 4:30 and not sure of what time we’ll arrive at pop.

Is there a tipping option built into the app or do I need to bring cash with me to pay the driver?

Yes they arrive within a time slot. I don’t know how late they deliver until.

Did you use the specific street address for your resort? Did you meet them in the lobby or will they bring it up to your room? I use it all the time at home, never thought to use it at Disney. It’s a great idea!

We used it a couple of days ago at Coranado Springs. I just put the main address of the hotel. Met them outside near the bus stop.

I used the hotel address and met them in the lobby. You can also have them leave it with bell services.

Looking into instacart. I wanted to get a bottle of rum. Can that be left at bell services? Or do I have to be present?

Can't you just schedule it for an hour you will be at the resort?

Yes, you can. Just pick a time frame that works for you. They contact you as they are on the way and arrival, so you have an approximate time of delivery.

I meant for the guy above, its not that big of a bummer for him considering they can bring it any time of the day he wants.

I was trying to coordinate with my arrival time on DME (which is at best an estimate). Also, I didn't want to have to leave the parks. Just curious if I didn't get into the resort on DME (8 pm flight arrival), if it could be left with bell service. Insta only delivers up to 10pm. I wouldn't want to choose the 9-10 window and still be on the bus.
