The other day I wore the exact same outfit that I have worn to work about a hundred times before: a cream colored sweater and brown tweed pants. i even had the same accessory: an amber necklace. i had just bought this really cute pair of brown "crocodile" pumps with pointy toes and i decided i would wear them instead of my usual brown loafers.

all day i had people tell me how dressed up i was, and asking if i had plans after work.

it must have been the shoes!

Shoes are a great accessory to change up an outfit you have worn before. Croc pumps are very in this season! Get yourself a Croc bag next....they will all be talking!

I do think that shoes can make or break an outfit. Another thing I like about them -- no matter how bloaty or crummy I'm feeling from one day to the next, my shoes always fit perfectly.

I have a shoe fettish- as does my MIL... we're always saying "thats almost 3 pair of shoes" when DH commments on something he bought or wants LOL

same outfit with a flat soled shoe looks dowdy/dumpy.

with a pointy toed heel? MUCH dressier!

which is when when I wear jeans to work, I wear them with heels now...I just dont' feel as 'dressed down'

Speaking from personal experience, if I'm wearing comfortable shoes, I have a tendency to walk more casually (read slouched ). If I'm wearing heels, I stand more upright and walk with a but more of a strut - partly because I'm just not used to wearing them so am more aware of how I'm walking when in them.
