Well, I've been a SAHM for about 5 years now, but not by choice. My MS was worsening and I was advised by my doctor to consider giving up my job. It was a horrible decision to make. I enjoyed working and we really needed the money. But finally the disease made the decision for me - it really flared up. Since I left my job, I have always felt guilty. While I enjoy being home to get things done around here and I'm able to do volunteer work - I miss the day to day grind. I know I couldn't do it anymore, but I still feel guilty. DD is 13 now, so she pretty much takes care of herself. I suppose if she were little, I wouldn't have so much guilt. DH constantly tells me to stop feeling this way, but I can't help it. I'm a born Type A person.
